Who has the best shot at winning campaign 2012, Obama or Romney?
Which Presidential candidate, Obama or Romney, is in the best position to take the White House? Why do you think the way you do? Have at it!
Obama, hands down. Although, interestingly, you put Romney on the left and Obama on the right in your picture.
I thought the picture made both men seem like able, respectable and thoughtful candidates. Although, from everything I have seen and read, I agree with you. Obama may have the odds in his favor.
Obama, as the incumbent, has the advantage clearly. It's his election to lose. From now on this election is about rhetoric and short term swings in voter mood. Whoever appeals to the voters the most will win. Oh, and whoever pulls the best October surprise might win as well.
I certainly think it is an open race, and the economy puts Romney squarely in the race if he can get out the vote and energize a base. This is another "it's the economy, stupid" year and if he plays it up properly, he could easily win. If not, Obama gets another term.
What role do you believe the Electoral College will play?
The electoral college is always huge, and I expect this year to be no different. The key to me is whether any of the states that flipped last time stay flipped to Obama like NC, VA, IN, OH, and FL. If any do Romney is in trouble.
I think that it is close to 50/50. A lot of people are upset with the economy and Obama, but at the same time a lot of people do not trust Mitt Romney because he was a shady financier and comes off as a bit inauthentic as a conservative.
I don't mean this as an insult to anyone who is an Obama supporter, but I can't imagine why anyone would ever consider voting the man. I consider Mitt Romney far too liberal for my taste, but Obama is in the same league as Karl Marx.
Because I can not imagine four more years of Obama's disastrous economy and hand outs from my hard earned tax dollars to those who who would rather not take care of themselves - I am hoping and praying everyday that Romney and Ryan win in November.
I cannot imagine that anyone is truly happy with Obama's failures.......
Does it really matter? Both are Corporate Party puppets. A vote for either Democrats or Republicans is a vote for the Corporate Party (unless of course we have the unthinkable happen at the RNC and Ron Paul wins the nomination).
Obama had Goldman-Sachs 4 years ago. Romney does this time. Obama is a silver-tongued devil and Romney is a Hollywood handsome flip-flopper.
The last president who didn't go along with the Corporate Party platform ended up assassinated. In fact, JFK tried to warn us about the secretive power elite, the military industrial complex and the bankers.
Obama has an advantage as incumbent, but what treason! He's dismantling America -- the Constitution and Bill of Rights, with his extension of the unPatriot Act, NDAA with its indefinite detention clauses for American citizens, his "kill list" which includes American citizens. I supported the guy 100% last time, but what a betrayal. Gitmo still exists. Habeas Corpus not restored. Iraq still has a US presence and Afghanistan seems to be a forever thing, even after Bin Laden's supposed death.
I really would've loved it if Obama had been true to his word. That would've restored my faith in America.
The anti-Obama force is strong, but Romney helped to cripple it by fraud and cheating during the primaries -- ballot stuffing (even caught on video), changing the rules, not following parliamentary rules, physical violence against the competition (caught on video), arresting the chairman because he was a Ron Paul supporter (for trespassing, even though all the other trespassers were not; also caught on video), changing votes (Iowa and Maine), and ignoring votes (also Maine). They've also attacked Ron Paul's delegates and attempted to remove their credentials. That way Romney can take the convention, but he could well lose the new blood in the Republican party as well as millions of the independents. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot.
So, Obama wins! I just hope none of you are on his "kill list." Why would you be on such a list? Oh, that's a national security issue.
With all due respect to all the comments, I must add one thought. Are you not concerned about the nation the next generation will inherit? Less personal freedom to choose, more reliance on government, more debt to China, come on.

A recent YouTube News report by WXIX Fox19's Ben Swann reveals something you're not like to find out about on the evening news. Obama is ignoring a federal court order regarding his actions under the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act).http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PZjXHjkzMD4I supported...

Presidential candidate Mitt Romney said last week that Obama has a secret agenda for his second term. I'm wondering what that is. Romney did not say. Or is this the old psychological trick of projecting your fault on the other guy. Is it Mitt who has the secret agenda? I surely don't know. Perhaps,...

the United States, are YOU happy with or regret the choice that you have made? Why? Why not?

The two recent Presidential and one vice-presidential debates have made it abundantly clear that Obama and Biden can not defend their indefensible 4 year record of bad economic and domestic/foreign policies. They have been, during those debates, grasping at false narratives made more...

Do I alone shudder in the Horror imagining another 4 years of Obama spending and Governent Control?Obama has spent more than any other President in US history. What do we have to show for it? This Country will no longer be "American" if we have another 4 years of this fiasco. This...

We have two major political parties that would seem to stop at nothing to get or keep power. This was highlighted to me when my son and I went to see The Campaign. Who do you feel is the least scrupulous? Please try and be non-partisan here(joke of the day).
