   I know hubscores go up and down, but why does a hubber with a great profile have a low score?
   
   Will somebody please explain why Angela Brummer, with 15 great hubs, 701 followers and all those accolades, only has a Hub score of 66?  I know scores slide up and down, but this I would like explained.

   I don't know if it applies in the case you mentioned, but following a lot of people quickly is a sure way to bring down your hubber score.

   Several reasons can affect your score.
   Sadly, it is not enough to be active on HP and write several good hubs. They have to be VERY good and they have to have a good position in search results as well. Plus the more comments/visits, the better.
   On the other hand the reason can also be simple: if someone publishes several hubs within a short time, then they hubscore will radically go down. The average hubscore of our hubs also have a great effect on our score - and as you should already know, when you publish a hub its score starts somewhere around 40-50 points. It will get higher with time and you have no influence on this.
   Hopefully time will tell and solve her problem, too.

   From what I've experienced with scores over the last six years, I'm going to speculate that neither the HubPages algorithms nor the search engines think Angela is as great as you think she is.
   
   You don't have to be very active here at all to get good scores, nor do you need to do social networking, but you do need to make high-quality content that draws traffic and if you don't do that, your scores will show it.

   I second Relache's comment. I'll also add that in general it doesn't matter how many followers or accolades one has, it's all about creating quality content in a timely manner. Over-sharing will also bring down your hubscore. The low score has nothing to do with HubPages or Google. I've noticed this happen before due to lack of quality hubbing activity.

   I am as confused as you are, mizjo.  I remembered the first couple months with Hubpages I had very few hubs and most of them with low contents, but my profile score went pass 90.   But now I have more hubs (one of my hubs with hub score 100 for few times and good page view traffic for most of my hubs, my profile score stays below 90.

   Hubscore changes by many factors. Traffic, hub activity, etc. If the account is under probation, despite good traffic, hub score will always be very low.

   Based on the previous answers..I think that all the things that people have stated goes into consideration, and mostly not being active on HP can drop your scores..I was not very active for about two days and my score dropped from a 90 to 88..so I think it is not one certain thing.

      Hi, mismazda, yes, you're right about the score being tied to your activity on HP.  Plus other factors.
