   Why Don't I make more than pennies with Google Adsense?
   
   I've noticed recently that I am scraping in bare minimum earnings with my Hubs, and I was wondering what some other users here on HubPages were doing to compensate for low earnings...

   If you use the Hubpages Ad program, it's because of the ad layout, which is best explained by the diagrams here,

      Ahh... So basically, my chances of making any real money with Adsense on HubPages are slim due to the Ad layout of each Hub. In that case I should probably just stick to earning as much as I can with the HubPages Ad Program.

   I earn nothing from Adsense. I had earned less than a dollar, and got the good ole Adsense closed my account for invalid clicks I think, which we have no control over.  Invalid clicks seems to be their favorite.  I have a new adsense account,but it is only active here. I got rid of it on my personal blogs and websites. My earnings here are from the HP ad program only. I have a freelance writing job, so what I earn here is peanuts, cookie jar money, if I ever hit the payout.

   The Ad layout explains it all.
   
   The readers eye moves from top left to right to bottom left to right.  The HP ads are exactly in that path, in fact to even see an adsense ad the reader glances over 7 HP ads units.
   
   There's really nothing you can do about this.

   You have to do SEO to each hub.  Look it up.  Then you have to write about things people are searching for.  Then if you write about interesting things, that are well thought out; and well researched. Then.... you make money.

   Personally I do not think focus on Adsense is a go way to go. Your Adsense account could be terminated by Google anytime. They simply have too many publisher and do not really have time to go through each of them.
   My HP Ad earning grow faster and more stable compare to Adsense. Take Adsense as a bonus and focus on provide more quality content instead.

      Good answer I will definitely keep this in mind! In fact I was considering closing my AdSense account down for HubPages, and going strictly off the HP AD earnings instead. Do you think I would earn more from my HP Ads if I removed the Adsense ads?

      If I understand correctly from the ad program faq page (hubpages.com/faq) - that blue and red boxes. With Adsense enabled (+ HP Ad program), there will be additional ads at your footer.
      Personally I think it is no harm to enable Adsense.

   If you used only Google Adsense, you would probably earn more from it. But as for the total you would make - compared to what you have right now, might be less.

    Write more content and make sure that all your Hubs are linked with the HubPages Ad Program.... Trust me you will not make anything with 11 Hubs! This isn't to attack you, but to simply put forward that this whole thing does take time. Some users have been here for 5 years!
