    Did Obama release tax returns?

Has President Obama released his tax returns recently or at all?

He released 2 years worth and what do anyone's tax returns have to do with anything?  Lets talk about the issues and not the diversions.

I wonder what some people would be saying if it were Romney who had released his tax returns and Obama refused to do it?

Romney paid $2 million in 2011 and gave $4 million to charity.  So what is the point of any of that nonsense?  Every one knows the man is rich.  So what?

Obama released his tax returns back to 2000.

There is a point to this, by the way, it's not a "distraction". It's been a tradition for a long time and Romney can give no believable reason why he doesn't release 10 years of returns. After all, he asked Paul Ryan and all on his VP short list to do just that! Of course, it leads to speculation about why he wouldn't want to release his returns. It obviously hurts his campaign, so there must be something in there (I have a good idea, but won't go there on HP) that is worse than the flak he's now taking.

Because Romney doesn't, nor does any candidate, have to release any tax returns.  Tradition?  What an alibi for the left wing.  He released them and more than they wanted yesterday.  His 2011 just got filed and he doesn't use Turbo Tax BTW.  LMBO

      Frog Prince,

The IRS doesn't automatically audit everyone you know. If his hypocrisy doesn't phase you, so be it. And ad hominem  attacks make you look a little desperate. Why can't you keep it civil without calling people names?

So lets get stupid with the answers.  You can rest assured that with Obammie raising Cain about Romeny's tax returns that they have lookled at them.  The problem with the far left is that they are almost falling off the face of the earth with lunacy.

Casimiro more or less hit the nail on the head. It's not so much that the returns are important, it's the fact that he is hiding them like some sort of mystery prize. People eat up mysteries and not telling them what's behind door number 1 is just going to drive us crazy. There is no legal obligation for Romney to release his returns, he just has to accept that, by not releasing them, he's injecting that mystery into his campaign. And, in a presidential election, you don't want voters thinking you're a mystery. We like mystery because we like to find out the answers, but it's a bad platform for a political candidate. He probably would have done less damage if he'd revealed them and gotten flack for all the tax breaks, than leaving it up in the air like this. I'm assuming the reason he refuses to release them is because it contradicts with his policies. i.e. more money to the rich equals jobs, but he's already getting huge tax breaks and yet we're in a recession.

Really?  Now if he was hiding something don't you think the IRS would be all over the guy.  Give that left wing logic a rest.
