What makes a Hubpage go into the 'suspended' or 'suspension' status?
I just read that someone on Hubpages had a classic Hubpage which had 105,562 views was under suspension. I have no idea why this would happen to a successful and popular article on Hubpages.
This is just gossip coming from me, because it is only hearsay. I heard from a writer of another revenue sharing web site that the hubber in question wrote some fairly demeaning words against another revenue sharing web site, which showed a very unprofessional demeanor.
Aparently, the suspended hubber's talent was not good enough to be accepted at the other platform. His work was rejected and he became angry so he wrote about it using unfair language. If I were HubPages, I would have suspended this person, too. What he did was not cool. The fact that HubPages suspended him shows me that HubPages is a class act.
Anyway, without details, I'm not even sure we are talking about the same person, but that's the latest chatter on other writer-related web sites.
That may be one reason for suspension. However, I doubt this is the case in the Hubpages which I refer.
Oh, OK. I wasn't sure. I'm so curious now to find out. My curious mind may be the end of me. lol
Perhaps by "suspension" you mean "idle" status. If the hub generates primarily internal traffic, and has had little search engine traffic for some time, it could happen.
I mean suspension as in no longer published on Hubpages and probably no recourse to upgrade or fix it. I'm really not sure. Looking for answers from Hubbers who have experienced this type of event.
OK, so that would be "irrevocable" status. Like if someone set up a hub purely to promote a certain type of product, or perhaps in case of copyright violations.
Maybe you are right as in "idle" status. I will have to learn more about what "suspension" actually means versus "irrevocable." Very good information WE.
Debby, you are welcome. On Ning, we can suspend members. On HubPages, hubs are simply unpublished (irrevocably or not), or placed in idle. Members can be banned, and a full account ban is permanent. HP does not "suspend" members or content.

I just went through all people I have been following and purged the ones that have no articles and no activity. I am quite surprised to see how many people have left HubPages over the years and I wonder what made them leave in the first place. I understand the volatility of writing online but there...

If I have an article on HubPages.com is there a way to submit it to the HubPages editors, so they can determine if it qualifies for Discover.Hubpage.com?

I have read what Whoopie Goldberg said on the view. I watched what she said on the Stephen Colbert show. I can honestly say I probably hold political and social views that are complete opposite of Whoopie Goldberg.Do I think she should be suspended for what she said? My heartfelt...

I find it kind of ridiculous that I have been waiting for a couple weeks now for one of my hubpages to be published. What was the longest time you have ever had it take to get a hubpage to publish?
