Do you get email notifications for all the Hubbers you follow?

I don't seem to get email notifications when some Hubbers I follow publish Hubs. Does anyone know the criteria for notification? Why bother notifying us for some but not others? I'm talking about the individual emails we get, not the notification summary.

No.  It seems somewhat sporadic.  I'll receive some for a while, and then they're gone.  Then others will be missing, and the first group comes back.  I'm constantly trying to double check with the notifications email to try to take care of all that follow me.

Sounds like you may need to go into your "settings," and check out what you have clicked or not clicked......I had some confusing issues at one point and solved it all by re-evaluating my settings.....Good luck.  BTW  CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR 99 SCORE!!!  You deserve it.

Thanks for the answer and the compliment, fpherj48. I checked my settings and saw I still had all the defaults... but then I looked closer. On some of them, the default is "Auto" but you can also choose "Never" or "Always". You're onto something!!!

I've been experiencing the same problem with the individual notifications.

It reminds me of Facebook.  Only a handful of my friends on FB actually see my posts.  I'll comment on theirs and they're like, "Huh?  You're still on Facebook?  I thought you stopped months ago?"...and yet I've been posting every other day.  Even my own wife doesn't see my posts on her feed anymore.

I guess FB did their own "Panda" type update or something.  Maybe the only people who see my FB posts are the ones who always "Like" and comment on my posts, and FB just stopped notifying the rest.

Maybe HubPages is doing it the same way?  I still see hub notifications for the handful of hubbers that always comment on my hubs (and whose hubs I always comment on), but the others have just disappeared off the radar.

Check out fpherj48's answer above-- and my response. The default settings are "auto" whatever that means. Try setting to "always".

No I don't and I wish I did.  Sometimes I'll miss one and I enjoy reading the hubs the people I follow write.  I usually use the "recent notifications" email to catch up.  Need to check out all of these answers to see how to change that if I can.
