What is the benefit of following or having followers?
Additionally, what are some tips for attracting followers?
You have the opportunity to develop great relationships with people. They grew from what you have to offer and you grow from their questions and comments. If your into a specific topic, thinking about and finding out answers your followers have that are related to that topic makes you even better at it.

Thus by following and having followers, both parties are mutually benefiting. So never miss this golden opportunity by following and get followed by others. Encourage your followers and thank them whenever they post their comments.
I hadn't thought about the visibility advantage. Thanks sunilkunnoth2012!
Following other Hubbers means you get email updates regarding their latest Hubs, so you can read Hubs by Hubbers that you want to read.
Having followers not only boosts your writer's ego, but also alerts other Hubbers when you publish a new Hub, which increases the chances that it will be read and possibly shared with others.
There are some very informative and entertaining writers on here. I need to get started following! Thanks, Rock_nj
HubPages is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're going to find next. There certainly is a wide variety of content on HP, and some of it is quite unique and creative. Welcome to HubPages Stacey!
Honestly. I like to write, but have to say I need others' comments to make me feel that I'm contributing something valid or not.
When I follow,I check first if I can offer constructive comments or friendly "me too" comments. If I have no interest in a person's views and attitudes I don't follow.
People on hubpages don't have to be insulting about your effort for you to get the helpful message when they feel you need help.
And besides,I like to see notifications and comments of any kind, makes my life more interesting. Sad as that sounds.
Good question!
Good points, baygirl! I'm relatively new to writing but I know how excited I get when I see a notification so I understand that point well!

Do people really read the hubs of people they follow? Is it just me but I tend not to follow too many hubbers because I would never have time to write if I read all the hubs they submit. Perhaps I’m being naive here … but it seems disrespectful to follow them and then not read their work. Do people...

I notice some hubbers publish two or more hubs at a time and just wondered if there is a benefit to this? Seems it would be harder having to answer double or more the comments if you don't get less because of publishing multi; or do comments not really amount to anything in the tally of things?...

How is it that they are several people who don't have a lot of hubs and yet have tons of followers? I mean one person I came across only has one hub and yet they have 1,233 followers! Another one only has 3 hubs and has about 623 followers..I'm just confused.. I thought the more hubs you have, the...
