Where and what do you suppose YOUR line in the sand will be ?

Many people will go so far, be pushed so far and threatened so much.  What do you consider your breaking point will be?   Where do you consider your time to fight or stand up for what you believe ?  What would it take to quit your job, stop driving, stop taking the bus, quit eating certain foods or stop smoking?  What future events have you envisioned that might be your "line-in-the-sand turning point ?

I guess my line in the sand would be if I felt I should compromise something that was against what I believe. Be it faithh, stealing,  Lieing, or anything that could damage my family and I.That's my line..

When laws, employers, or others try to force me to violate my own conscience, or are in opposition to clear laws of God, including God given rights as detailed in our Constitution. God's law was for our good, where as many of man's laws are violating higher law. Just as when the disciples of Jesus were arrested and ordered to stop preaching in the name of Jesus Christ with threats. They responded with a simple, "Shall we obey God or man?" Although they were beaten and released, they didn't stop preaching Jesus. Not always an easy choice for those determined to obey God!

My breaking point is when someone wanted to mess with my son when he was younger.  Kinda like a mama grizzley and her cubs.  Now he's all grown up and can take care of himself without question.  As far as my future goes?  I'm currently beaten but not broken and over the years I have found that I'm not scared of anything any more. I'll fight to the bitter end.

My line in the sand is the concept of some ideology attempting to impose its morality upon others in the name of that segment's ideal.

When going into Walmart lately, I noticed that the Ammunition was about gone, with very few boxes left on the shelves.  I asked about the situation and the clerk said that the employees had just put out the shipment that morning and that the people who was buying the ammo was reacting to a gun and ammunition confiscation scare.  For every person, it seems that the line in the sand is driven by the media, by politics, by family, by the environment or by demand of survival.  The choices that are being demanded are requiring a line-in-the-sand be made or lose the freedoms, the movement, the safety, the security and the prosperity that was once known.  The future events will demand a line in the sand be made.  It might be a bully, over taxation, war, a collapsed economy, taking away the rights of the citizens, over-powering government, collapsed electrical grid or an abusive spouse, but everyone will be backed into a corner one day and will have to decide whether a line in the sand will be made or Succumb to the situation, whether you like it or not.

I found my line in the sand and lost my job because of it. The line was invisible at first until I overstepped it. You can read my hub at http://alfredfox.hubpages.com/hub/Emplo … Sainsburys where it explains all.
