   I would go with the Ipad, simply because of the value is much, much better than value of the mini, however if you are looking for something that size, the mini is a suitable option. Better values for that size include the the Galaxy Note and the Amazon Fire.

   My wife wants the mini. I personally have an iPad. As a former apple expert, I've had some experience with their systems but also android based systems like kindle fire or galaxy note. There are good points to both. The ultimate question is, do you want more ease of use and less virus issues, or a bit more customization? If its ease of use and not too much worry about catching a virus, then the ipad is your way to go. If you want something small and lightweight to fit in your purse, get the ipad mini. If you're someone who likes a bigger screen and typing a lot on it, get the full size ipad. If you want to have a little bit more on the customization side of things, the android based systems are great for that.
   
   I have an android based phone and I have other apple products. I've been more happy with my apple products in general. I've replaced my android phones several times for virus and other issues. Hope that helps.

   Both iPad and iPad Mini have similar specs so for running apps there is no difference in performance.  The difference is, iPad mini is much lighter so it is easy to carry whereas regular iPad has bigger screen which makes it easy to type.
   
   So if someone, while constantly on move, plans to surf net, take lot of pictures but do not plan to use applications which involves much typing (writing blogs, working with excel file, etc.) than iPad Mini is better choice.

   if you see the configuraition and compare it with other ipads in the market,then apple ipad 4 is best.With its improved camera,new earphone,4g LTE connection.So i will recommend you to buy apple ipad 4.Apple has compromised with ipad mini,the resolution is not as good as ipad 3 or 4.There are other shortcoming also.

      I know that is true for the resolution with the mini but truthfully I haven't noticed it. I still watch movies on my iPad 3

   Apple has developed such great image quality that, to me, it seem a waste to put it on such a small screen as the mini.  I do a lot of writing as well as web surfing.  The combination of iPad and Zagg-folio wireless keyboard/case is awesome.  I would not have an iPad without the Zagg keyboard.  There is a Zagg-folio keyboard/case for the iPad mini, but again, there is the issue of screen size. 
   
   But the smaller size does have it's advantages as well.  the iPad is a rather clumsy size for anything but sitting at a table and using it.  The mini would be a  much more portable device, more comfortable to use when out and about. 
   
   So it all comes down to how a person will use the product.  For lots of typing, iPad.  For lots of web browsing on the go, iPad mini.

   I have both and I have to say I really like the mini.  As Kasman writes, it is small and lightweight to put in a purse. I use both and love both, but the mini is better for reading and hauling around.
