Swim Instructor at the YMCA. It was an interesting job with average pay. Nothing was ever boring, but it was stressful for how many hours I had. Going from never working to 7 hours a day was a drastic change that I couldn't handle. So I barely ate, became anorexic, and lost 30 pounds in two months. It taught me a lot about adapting.
My first job was a "salad girl" at a country club in Wisconsin. I basically kept the buffet stocked with food. I lasted 6 weeks there. I had to work Thanksgiving and it was utter madness, and the management people were treating us lowly kitchen folk VERY badly so a few of us quit at the end of the shift. It took me a week to get that weird smell out of my hair, and I had to throw my uniform away because I couldn't get that smell out of it. That was almost 40 years ago, and I've refused to work in food service ever since!
My first job was working in my best friend's fathers trophy shop when I was 14 years old. I loved every minute of it.
I first worked as a computer technician. The experience was great but I decided to leave due to its torturing work schedule. haha
My first job was a paper route with my sister. It was hard and messy. We had to roll all the papers which left black print on our fingers. Then load up a big apron and throw the papers at each house. I was young, maybe a preteen, not even 16 years old when I had this job and I was paid very little. But it was still a fun experience and taught me how to structure my time better.

I'm a Perioperative Nurse, and a Teacher. It's hard for me to turn these off when I am not working. I'm sure many are this way, when they love their jobs as much as I doDo you like, even love your job? Or do you hate it?What is your occupation?

"I'm very punctual." That was my response when a woman asked me why I am a good worker during a phone interview. "Okay," she responded, "but what would your current supervisor have to say about you?" Jeez, I thought. There is nothing positive he could say, especially...
