If a man has ability in writing
And God has given him the grace to write two books in hard copy how can he go about publishing those books if he has no money?
You don't need money to have books you have written published, real publishers bear all the costs. If any publisher asks you for money upfront, it ain't a proper publisher, but a vanity publisher, who will tell you how wonderful your book is, but do nothing to market it after you've paid all the costs.
Thanks for your Answer but in my country where I come from publisher collect money upfront before doing the publishing. That was why i ask the question if there are any other means of publishing books because of my present financial incapability.
Then in your country, writers are being conned, publishers bear the costs, and risks, it gives them an incentive to market their list, that is why publishers take so much from sales, and pay only small royalties.
I guess you are wright in nigeria here the publisher collect their money and do their job, please as a writer advise me on how to publish those books am totally financial handicap.
I have to agree with MickS. No reputable publisher in any country will make you pay to publish a book. A reputable publisher makes their money through book sales, not by charging the writers.
Here is a link you can use to find some real publishers www.publishersglobal.com. Just look up publishers by subject (at the bottom of the page). When you select a publisher, it will tell you that you need a premium subscription to get the submission guidelines. However it also has their phone number and mailing address so you can just contact them directly to get that information. Be prepared to get rejected a few times, but if your work is good and you keep pressing on, someone will take a chance on you.
You can also publish your book as a kindle version through Amazon for free. Copy and paste this web address for directions on how to do this. www.amazon.com/gp/seller-account/mm-sum … =200260520
Thanks for your answer I really appreciate. God bless you.

I want to do e-book publishing but was advised by other experienced authors that it also has a real disadvantage to it because you might have a hard time going back to traditional publishing. Agents who discover that you have done E-book work before mostly tend to reject your query letter which is...

If you have, give details about the process you went through. Alright for those who say they don't understand the question, I'm asking about the process you went thru publishing a book with no money down. Has anyone done this before?
