Do you have any family superstition rules?
Many chinese households have family superstition rules of what you can't do at home or at any occasion. What are your family superstition rules? Mother in law said kids are not allowed to go out at night. Might step on dirty spirit.
My parents wouldn't let us play with a Ouiji Board because it was supposed to help Satan possess us. True or not, I still haven't played with one because of that.
@phtech
interesting family tradition! Never heard of this board before. So, who created this board? Why would the satan posses people?
Here's an overview of what it is: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ouija
There were many such as:
1. Avoiding black color for any of our dresses or things
2. Using our right hand to take things and not the left. (I wonder what would left handed people do?) and many more...
Of course, I don't follow any of them but yes these were certain superstitions prevalent during my childhood days.
@savio
Thanks for sharing. It's good that new generation people doesn't follow these superstitions anymore. Yeah, what would those left-handed do?
Same as yours when I was kid My father won't let us play outside during night because bad spirit travel or flee from other places.
I remember cutting nails, buying salts at night is bad luck.
Two siblings being married within a year cause badluck.
A pregnant woman should not seat down on the door step may cause abnormal delivery.
Using crack or chap glass or plate is bad luck too, it has to be thrown away.
Theres few superstition so far that reminds of me to follow during childhood but rightnow i gues it depends.
@dashing
thanks for sharing. I still use chap mug. Couldn't bear to throw it away though..

What superstition do you follow?Even although it's silly, are there any superstitions that you follow - just in case something happens? I have to say I still get a bit nervy when it's 'Black Friday', (Friday 13th) - even although nothing has ever happened on this day and I've even celebrated my...

Do you believe in Omens? Like for example, "Things happen in threes...." Do they really? Is this an example of how omens are to be revered?

Do you believe/had experience with Superstitions?Today is Friday the 13th. I've never personally been one to believe in superstitions, bad luck, ghost, big foot, zodiacs or anything else of that nature. Has an experience made you believe? Or why do you believe in them?
