   Is it true that running/jogging makes your skin sag?
   
   I know this sounds like a strange question, but I have heard people say that running makes your skin (especially the skin in your face) flop around and cause sagging. Do you think this is true? I always thought that cardio like running was good for your skin!

   Hi Kat,
      This is a complete fallacy. There is nothing true about it. The only problem you may encounter while jogging is shin splints from my experience. But, no it does not make one's skin sag.

   I'm a long distance, endurance runner. I've been running for years, and no, running does not make your skin sag. Having babies does that, but not running!

   Excess cardio activity without activity that in turn helps tone muscle or build lean muscle can probably make skin sag, but it's not running/jogging by itself.

   NO THATS NOT TRUE. ITS REALLY HEALTHY FOR YOU AND IT MAKES YOU ACTIVE.

   Hm, I've never heard of this happening before. It sounds perhaps like a modern "old wives' tale", like when I was in high school and some girls refused to smile because they believed it would cause wrinkles.

   I run, jog, swim and am yet to experience skin sag. In fact, the muscles and therefore, the skin tones in the process. Maybe your sources should verify with a skin specialist and get the reason for the sag clarified. My thoughts!

   That isn't true. Exercising tightens your skin so how come it will sag? It is also a good way to burn stomach fat :-)
