Do you have one Hub that you feel reflects your BEST work yet it does not score highly?

Why do you think the score does not reflect the quality of your hub?

Recently, I wrote a hub about how to make a success of your college education.  It was titled, "I Wish I'd Known This The First Time I Went To College!"  When I first published it, it ranked a 42, which really bothered me, because I felt the information was extremely important.   But it soon moved up to the 70s, staying there ever since.
I think for some reason the moderators didn't believe it would be a popular topic, but I've gotten lots of postings on there, so apparently it is.

Sounds like a very informative and useful hub.  Most hubs will start out below 50 if you publish them right away. Did you know that If you let it set a bit (days) while reworking or editing BEFORE publishing it-  the score will slowly rise?

Thanks - I didn't know that. I uploaded a bunch of hubs about my European tour, containing only pictures.  One by one, I wrote and published them. They were ranking in the 60s before publishing. I felt the college one was more important than those.

I really like my music hubs, but they seem to score low and not attract much traffic. The musicians I have written about are not super-stars, most of the general public probably won't recognize their names, but they all do have a following.

Traffic is still a puzzle to me.  A few of my hubs I whipped together quickly - they amazed me with lots of traffic.  My hub series, co-written with Unchained Grace, was the most powerful experience yet as a writer but its a low traffic series.

Yes, but I am new to HubPages.

It seems like when I write with passion, I sometimes think it will fly with supersonic speed but the truth is, some of my Hubs that I wasn't all that passionate about, were the the successful ones.

I guess maybe my passion might make me seem too opinionated, while something else I'm less passionate about, makes me less biased.

Good thought BuffaloGal.  There is a balance when we write something we are passionate about.  We can chase people away if we communicate harshly or we can draw people into our thought process by creatively laying it out with winsome words.  Thanks!

One of my hubs had a score of 88. I recently IMPROVED the hub by correcting some grammar issues. The score is now 72.

This place is confusing to say the least. I improve a hub and get marked down for it. What's next, hubs disappearing from Google. Oh! That's happening too.

I've just about had it with this place.

I have found it helpful to write to the hub team with concerns like you posed here.  I have always found their answers helpful.  This doesn't make sense to me either.  I encourage you to write them at team@hubpages.com.  Let me know what you learn.
