    How to earn on hubpages

    1. Write lots of hubs.
    2. Set up your affiliates correctly in the earnings section.
    3. Hope that some of your topics accidentally get traffic OR learn how to write for good keywords.

Agree 100% with WryLilt. Can't put it any simpler or to the point.

Make sure the products you feature from eBay and Amazon are directly related to your topic so that your readers will want to look at them and hopefully buy something. The products should peak the reader's interest about what you've just presented and, more importantly, get them to follow through with what you're suggesting by using the product. For example, I hope my readers will click on an ad for a special seasoning used in my recipe.

Having great content, you can apply for Adsense, place amazon or ebay ads on your article. Those are ways you can earn money here in hubpages.

It will be difficult for you to earn money, a significant amount of money, on hubpages. I have been writing for two years on hubpages. I have earned only $30.00 or so in two years. Admittedly, I have only written a few more than 100 hubs, but still, that is not a lot to show for a writer with the background that I have. So, I do not know the answer to your question. I want to tell you continue to write, more and more and more, and maybe, who knows? You may make some real money someday.
    Regards,
    Dr. Haddox

I earn more than that a month with less than 80 hubs. You need to work on your SEO smile

Write, write and write good, quality content of substantial length that is SEO and is  about topics people in general are interested in. Be sure you have eBay and Amazon set up correctly so that you will get paid for the purchases of products related to your article. For example, write an article about tea, have Amazon and eBay products such as tea or teapots. Still, I think the big boost is to write about what people are interested in. Watch the news and talk shows. Listen to conversations. Check out Google trends. My earnings seem to be in proportion to the number of articles and the type of topics I choose.
