   If you could only listen to 3 songs from now till eternity. Which 3 would you pick?
   
   I really love music. I listen to it constantly and my world would be much emptier without it.  If you were suddenly faced with the decision to choose only 3 songs to last you from now  till eternity. Which 3 would you pick and why?

   Fairweather Friends by Queens of the Stone Age. Apart from the outstanding drumming performance clear from the start, I can't get over Josh Homme's lyrics. This guy gets people who feel like they're alone. The music he writes helps the listener know that they're not alone in whatever they're going through--specifically this song; a sad one about people who leave when life gets rough.
   Second, I'd probably keep Groove Holmes by Beastie Boys. It's not the greatest song ever written, but I put it on in my car a few years ago and fell in love with the entire album. I have countless memories, both early mornings and late nights, listening to this song on road trips with my friends on the highways of New England. Fun stuff.
   Last, I couldn't live without Zeppelin. I don't care how I go, as long as someone's blasting Moby Dick in a car nearby. Even if that person's the one who hits me, they're still enjoying the unmatched solos of John Bonham.

   The first is a song about independence and hope, and it has sort of been my "pep-talk" music for a long time. The second is simply one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard. The third is so ethereal that it numbs my mind, dulls my sense of stress, and makes me feel like everything is going to be alright.

      Last  Rose, i feel we're singing  from the same hymn sheet.  I feel you would love 'Von Himmel Hoch, da Komm Ich her' sung by Leontyne Price. from her 'Christmas Songs' album. I find it hard to even breathe when I hear her singing this.

   When you say "song", I am taking the bit between my teeth, believing (whether correctly or incorrectly) that "song" can include any amount of versions or "covers of that song.  So one of my three would be 'Love for Sale' of which there must be hundreds of versions, the other would, perhaps, be 'It Might As Well Be Spring' which has been sung and recorded so many, many times, and the Third is a toss up between my three favourite "classical" - or should I say, "serious" works,
   1. The Verdi Requiem
   2. Verdi's 'Don Carlos' or 'Don Carlos'  - it has been recorded in both the original French and the Italian version.(See where  I'm going here?)
   3. Rossini's 'Semiramide'.
   OK, so shoot me down in flames.

   Those are the 3 I would pick "right now". In a month I could have a different opinion though haha. But those songs are timeless, I listen to them all the time, never grow sick of em.
