   What's your favorite word to use in conversation?
   
   Strange though it may be, I have a few semi-obscure words that I'm in the habit of using in conversation.  Anyone else have this going on?  Any favorite words?
   
   My two favorites are probably copacetic and inimitable.

   I like the word "per se."  Here's the definition--
   
   per se

   JG.....I like this question.  Anything that makes us stop and really "think" about something that we may habitually do, while not acutely aware......
   Now my dilemma.  I simply can't think of any particular word I use in conversation that would qualify as my favorite.
   IMO, the answer to your question, I believe, would have to come from someone else.  Someone from the huge group of ever-so-fortunate individuals who are privileged to listen to me gab and babble on for hours on end.
   I'm easily able to offer a phrase or two that I use a lot, but not really a single word.   If I am in a serious discussion and desperate to have my opinion firmly stated......at the end of my monologue, I say..."Period, The End!"............You know, like, "Here's what's really going on and the ONE & ONLY FACT of the matter anyone needs to know!!...."   (Or, OK.....Everyone, Quiet!...the Queen has spoken and this concludes our discussion! The story is over.)
   Yeah, JG.....and By the way....no one ever listens to me.  LOL

   Inimitable is a great word. I couldn't ever use it (out loud anyway) because my tongue trips over it and then I just sound stupid. Nothing worse than trying to land a big word and messing it up. It's kind of like missing a wide open dunk.
   
   A couple of my favorite words are uncouth and savvy. I don't use them often, just for those special moments.

      I adore inimitable.  It invariably results in someone cocking their head to the side and staring at me quizzically.
      Uncouth is pretty good too, I may work that in.

      OH, JG!!   I knew something would finally come to me!  I DO have a favorite word....."Despicable!"......spoken ONLY as Daffy Duck can say it......and trust me, for me, Daffy is NOT inimitable!!

   Well, my friends do say I like saying "actually".. In fact, one of them once pissed me off by counting the number of times I said it in a 7 minutes conversation which amounted to 43!
