Have you ever experienced sleep paralysis?

I have myself been through sleep paralysis and/or supernatural presence. I've never talked about it too much with anyone and for a long time, I thought it was just part of my mental problems and felt talking about them, would hurt more, than help. Have you ever been through this or know anyone else who has? Thanks for taking the time to listen and maybe share your own experience. smile

Yes, in fact I just had my first case of multiple incidences in one night last night which was not pleasant.  I am currently under some pressure at work and I have been very sore from a workout injury and I think stress triggered it last night because my mind was going and my body was exhausted lol.  I recognize it now when it occurs periodically and I found by focusing on just moving my big toe on one foot, it will pull me out of it.  Then I have to actually get up and move around, I didn't last night just rolled over and bam it happened again wink

If you can get one toe to move and just tell yourself it is sleep paralysis you can pull yourself out of it before real scary stuff happens.  good luck!

No, but I don't sleep with light on because that can lead to insomnia and messing up your circadian rhythm which is worse than the occasional bout of sleep paralysis smile It happens so rarely that light on while sleeping isn't worth it to me.

Thank you, I think the more people understand what's happening to them and others, the easier coping and maybe curing could happen. smile

It happened to me last week. Normally, I don't let dreams bother me or I just don't remember them. This one dream, not only could I not move, I kept having false awakenings over and over and over. It made me physically dizzy.

There was a spider crawling into my hand and I couldn't move... sad

I've had spiders bite me and not let go, I wonder if that has some meaning.

Yeah actually I not only that happen last night I also experienced lucid dreams too. I actually also have those frequently and have my entire life. I'll wake up like twice weekly after the experience and pass out. But that's me.

I don't know if you have anyone to talk to about but when I was going through it, I was afraid of telling anyone.  The only thing I could do is sleep in the day or sleep with the lights on.
