What foods do you have to use salt on or it doesn't taste good?

We are supposed to watch salt intake every day but are there certain foods that you just HAVE to use salt on or you don't like eating? For me it would be hard boiled eggs.  They just are not the same without a few sprinkles of salt on them.  Also, believe it or not, Sardines!  Sardines already have salt in them but I need some salt sprinkled on them to give them more punch. Do you have any favorites foods that you need to be enhanced by a little salt?

Agree about hard boiled eggs--but they also need a good dose of pepper!  ;-)  And French Fries!  No good without salt.  Other than those things, I pretty much don't add salt at all when cooking...

I agree about the french fries!  I don't eat them vey often any more but the more crunchier and saltier they are, the better!  :-)  I have not tried pepper on hard boiled eggs but I think I may try that.

I think I'm one of those weird people who prefer no salt on anything. I'll eat potato chips and things already salted and add a little to things I'm cooking, but never any extra.

Congratulations -- that is a good thing because too much salt is not. I am trying to wean off of salt altogether.

A steak, or any meal with beef in it.But salt makes every food tastier and I would have a hard time giving it up.

Yum - you are so right - I need me some salt on a steak.  With a little bit of gristle too!

Popcorn! Whew, without salt (and butter of course) it's like eating a bean bag chair
