you should know that metabolism is in 2 parts:anabolism and catabolism.
anabolism is the breaking down of calories into energy.while catabolism is the absorption of the energy by the body cells.
in a nutsahell, the amount of calories you take that are not needed by the body results to fats.even if the calories are in large quantities, you must find a way of burning those unwanted fats.
so,you have to watch what you eat and take regular exercises.these are some of the tips.catch you later

walking everywhere and increasing amount of time walking each week.

level of lean muscle mass affects metabolism so weight lifting helps, doesn't have to be major body building, you want to burn those calories naturally.

eating foods with protein and eating smaller amounts more often during the day, especially if exercising. stay away from junk food.

Sure, there are lot of ways...

      1. Consumption of food increases metabolism. To be precise, eat more proteins and leafy veg to increase metabolism.

      2. Exercise. It pushes the body to increase the metabolic rate as there is a need for nutrients and also as a result of increased body temp

      3. Short frequent diet helps a lot.

To make metabolism benefit you, u have to consume less fats and oily products and increase the intake of proteins and leafy vegetables as i said before.

Work out/ excersise, however it does make you feel slighlty more hungery but your metabolism does increase so monitor your intake and don't just think that your metabolism will take care of it all, but should be increased

3 big things... exercise (especially in the morning), eat smaller meals more frequently, and stay away from sugar.

Yep, agree with all other posts here...I think you have to eat smaller meals and eat more meals through the day to keep your metabolism up.  Good luck.

Obviously exercise.  If you're trying to lose weight then walking uphill is a better option than jogging/running (keeps your heart rate at a fat burning level).  Eat 6 smaller meals a day instead of 3 large ones (this forces your body to process the food quicker, increasing your metabolism).  Lift weights (more muscle = more energy burnt), but don't do it in sets, pick 3 muscle groups to work at once.  Superset all 3 of them together (work 1 muscle, then without stopping work the second, then without stopping work the third).  This burns fat while you lift.

In a nutshell, that's the way to go.
