Hubpages wasn't intended to make the writers rich. It was intended to make the owners of Hubpages rich. It is, after all, a business.

Well Clive, I'm afraid the owners wouldn't go for that idea, but I guess you could try.   smile

No. Nobody makes millions here. A very few people make thousands. Most people are lucky if they make payout occasionally.

You will never make that much on any content site on the internet.  In the beginning this site was 60 for the writers and 40 for the staff.  It somehow got switched around and I even think it is much less for the writers than that.  HP has put on so many restrictions, changed the rules and bowed down to the Google God that they have lost much in the way of intergrity and honest on this site.  So don't expect to make much money here.
Oh and I have yet to meet someone here that makes a decent income to pay bills or have much fun with.

Well, you could make the goal of reaching monthly payments, then take those payments and spend them on lottery tickets and hope for the best... that's about the only way I can see tying HP into becoming a millionaire.

Otherwise, you can branch out as a writer into other fields that pay more (copywriting, technical writing etc) and build up your bank account over time and maybe reach a million by writing, or enough to invest in your own writing site that makes millions... lol smile
