Why its hard to be contented when you have everything?

Too many rich peoples finding or searching something new to fulfilled their wants and needs.

I think some people who are rich are just greedy to have more and more while the poor people are just contented and happy with what they got. But sometimes there are also poor people who become rich and become greedy. I think it is the way some people are. Always wanting more and never be grateful and contented with what they have. Agreed some people work hard to have what they got but not to the extent that they become greedy. And I think some of these people never think of God when they got everything. I think if I got everything, I will share it to my family then I feel happier then. I got nothing because I always share what I got to my family but I am happy doing that. I don't want to be a greedy person who always want more and more and even kill themselves trying to get more.

    To live means to desire.
People need to have something to "look forward to".
Whenever one truly believes there are no more mountains to climb, oceans to swim, or dreams to pursue the only thing left is death.
This is why mental health professionals stress that one should have short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals in life. Human beings need to have something to strive for or be excited about.
Contentment = boredom for a lot of people. They need challenges!
One of the reasons why you see a lot of wealthy people join various "world causes" and become major philanthropists is because we're happiest when we have a "mission" or a reason to go on.
Upon achieving any worthwhile goal follows the question: "What's next?" Depression sets in on those who don't have a "next".

Being contented has nothing to do with money!  Once a person has their basic needs i.e. food, water, air, shelter met, they have everything they need.

Wants or unnecessary desires is the cause of frustration when they are not met.  Being content  is an internal experience.  I have met happy wealthy people as well as people who are happy and not wealthy.  I have also met unhappy people in both situations.

Being content means that a person thinks that they have their needs and wants fulfilled.  If a person is greedy, they will never be happy because their unlimited desire will cause them anxiety.

The Bhagavad-Gita is an excellent book to read, it discussed this idea better than I am able to articulate.

My conclusion is that if people do not come to the realization that life is a miracle for all living beings and the spirit is eternal, then they will never be content.

    Best wishes

I am going to suggest when ever someone thinks they have everything and they are not content then logically they were in error and simply did not realize they were missing something significant. They soon realize that their everything falls short of satisfying their "appetite."
Now I am going to take a bit of a quantum leap and assume we will never be completely satisfied unless we figure out that in our journey we are not meant to be content until we discover our nature requires a significant relationship/melding with God.
