Are blog posts and web pages being made shorter because of the use of mobile viewing?
The majority of views are now from mobile devices such as phones and tablets. Do you feel that blog posts and articles will become shorter due to the scrolling needed to read a 1,000+ word article?
Depends on the topic. I would not like to read a research paper or an in-depth coverage of a topic on a small mobile screen. Shorter content like quick how-to's and why and what is ok for mobiles and tablets. Just my opinion, could be wrong.
Interesting point. I understand what you mean a lengthy article would be difficult. I wonder what the percentages of in-depth articles to 'quick list' type pages are.
People generally prefer short text on mobile and it will be a good decision to shorten the text. But certain articles reqire more words to present it convincingly.
I just wonder if lengthy articles are going to only be read at work or in a business setting.
