    Because at some point in their lives 99% of men have been emotionally and financially gutted by a women...that's when most of us become "comfortably numb"...the next thing ya know it's "Careful with that axe Eugene"!...(this answer is written in jest of course}...or is it?

      You may have somewhat of a point! They don't have girlfriends or wives. Maybe they're sexually repressed.
      Elliot Rodger and George Sodini killed women because they were rejected by women. Most of these guys are loners.
      Most women have friends.

    I think there is a difference between sociopath which often gets confused with psychopath.

    There are as far as I know no identified environmental factors associated with psychopathy. It has been suggested that there may be an evolutionary motivator which lead to its emergence and a psychopath is simply born as such by virtue of his DNA where the psychopathic gene is only activated in a small portion of descendants.

    This is apposed to the sociopath who becomes such by virtue of his upbringing, environment and experiences. Even then there is a difference in characteristics.

    I remember that some Canadian psychologist Robert Hare was the world leading expert on the matter.

    It may just be that there are no true female psychopaths. But I don't know anything really.

      Thanks for your answer, I believe you have made some research. Yes there are differences between a sociopath and a psychopath. Both are in the DSM V as Antisocial Personality Disorder.

    There are just as many psycho women. But because men are stronger, male psycho are more dangerous then female psycho.
