That depends on what exactly you mean by submissive.

If you mean she is naturally submissive or chooses to be of a submissive nature and is happier in that role while still able stand up for herself when she needs or wants to, then yes.

If you mean should she be a doormat with no ability to stand up for herself or what she believes in because someone else or some religion say's that's the way it should be, then no.

The difference is a choice, and the ability to change that choice if or when the choice is no longer right for her.

On what basis? Even then, I say NO. A woman is not a lesser being nor should she consider herself that way. Men and women are equal and as human beings have the right to their own choices.

A person can choose to be submissive and be happy, but you would take that away because you don't understand it? How is your choosing that someone can not be submissive any different than someone choosing they must be?

What I meant by submissive is the man being the breadwinner and the woman being a stay at home mom. Also the man being the decision maker and set the house rules.

Really?  I didn't know that women were second class citizens, persona non grata, untermenschen, & slaves only fit for kitchen, church, & having children.  Women are beyond this, they are human beings who are thinking, aggressive, bold, &

NO.....HELL to the NO!  Women are equal to men.   Women are individuals in their own right, they aren't appendages to men.  The idea that women should be submissive to their male partners is an atavistic, retrogressive premise.  Besides, no intelligent, educated, SECURE man wants a submissive woman; he admires, desires, & RESPECTS a woman who is his equal in every way.  Only insecure, uneducated,  & UNINTELLIGENT men want women whom they can control, subdue, & dominate.
