    Mainstream media became a tool of social engineering and propaganda when journalism schools stopped seeing their mission as "report events" to "change the world" by reporting events in a way that leads them to push for the leftist agenda or makes conservatives look bad. Now it is so bad that they won't report bad things that make their ideology look bad, because the official truth is more important than telling the truth. Hence the silence on the New Years Eve 2016 mass gatherings of Muslim men to assault women across the EU (in more than a dozen countries) to those in the US not reporting anything bad about Obama.

    When the news lost the editorial, the news became the editorial. The news reports the facts of an event, while today the news has embedded the opinions once held separate from the news reporting.

    When the news is commented rather than merely being reported, it is spinion. The spinning of opinion should have no place in news reporting, but with the creation of 24/7 "news" channels, opinion is the filler. There is no way to just report the news 24/7. Facts are terse, and they need to be checked and rechecked before they are aired. Which is another problem with "news" reporting.

    News are facts that don't have conclusions. While opinions wrapped around news are just conclusions meant to put the news in a certain light selected by the newscaster, and the organization they work for.

    So, the News Channel produces Social Engineered Propaganda that is meant to change the view of the viewer, instead of simply informing them of the facts.
