Do you remember your first lunch box?

I entered Kindergarten in 1978 and was proud to eat my lunch out of a metal Dukes of Hazzard lunch box which also came with a thermos. Lunch boxes these days don't come with them. You have to buy them separately. If you remember yours, I'd love to know what you had!

Most of the time it contained a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, about the only sandwich I'd eat. Then we'd get milk at school for 4 cents. Lota years ago...

I forgot about the milk at school. We could purchase a 4-oz carton for a nickel at morning recess.

My first lunch box in the late '70s was shaped like a school bus and had Disney characters on it. Last I looked, it was still hanging on a hook in my Mom's basement.
My favorite lunch box was from the sci-fi TV series "Battlestar Galactica," I wish I still had that one!!

We went home for lunch until grade 7, but then I had a plain plastic lunchbox with a thermos bottle in it - blue, I think.

Did you walk home, get bussed or picked up?

We did not even have school buses in the 1960s in North Columbus and luckily, I had only to walk 1/2 block.
