How should America go forward after Trump is sworn in as President?
What are some positive things we can all do make the country better? What would you like to see "fixed" in the country?
Respectfully.
True respect would be a positive thing among the people of this country.
Everything that needs "fixing" but that's a tall order. A right beginning is a good start though.
I agree, we have to have respect for all people of this country. We have to help those less fortunate than ourselves. We have to continue social programs that give people a step-up. Most of all we have to make America kind again.
The true liberals need to reclaim the label by rejecting the violent bullies and totalitarian SJWs.
The press needs to stop engaging in automatically assigning labels of stupid, crazy, -phobic, evil to conservatives - as do professors, late night comedy news shows, etc. Even CBS admitted that was part of the problem.
The unbearable smugness of the press

Recognize that many of the grievances that led people to support Trump are valid problems that need to be solved, and that socialism cannot be the default solution.
When communities say "we can't take care of our own unemployed we can't take in Muslim refugees", don't immediately call them Islamophobic.
When communities say "vets are dying for lack of care, giving illegal immigrants under DACA free housing, clothing, medical care is wrong", don't reflexively call them racist.
When populations with high unemployment say we need to close the borders because illegal and legal immigrants are depressing wages and displacing Americans in the workforce (most new jobs in the past 10 years went to immigrants, pushing Americans onto SSDI and retirement), don't rush to scream "racist".
When people point out that it is an insane double standard for Muslim truck drivers to refuse to drive a beer truck or Muslim taxi drivers decline someone with duty free wine but someone says I don't want to make a blasphemous wedding cake, don't immediately insult the person only in the second case.
The left labeling themselves good, love, smart, & rational allowed them to label conservatives all sorts of insults. It was an excuse to ignore the other side's views and delegitimize them to others - but when people can't talk things out, they only have action.
Thank god we had an election, because if that hadn't been an option, there was a good chance of violence.
But for the political left, there is no justification for the instigated violence they committed at conservative events to blame on conservatives (Wikileaks, Project Veritas revelations), nor these organized riots planned by various liberal groups like MoveOn. You had power for eight years, and you've had an election. You had peaceful options, and so did we.
We won't have peace until liberals give up their "good" branding and renounce the violence they took up to "fight evil", the other political wing.
Will Rahn's view is so interesting (…not that far out of college..), but it misses that the media simply lied in many, many cases and that there is no repentance about it. The double standard issue is huge. A long hub could be written using examples.
From A Generalist Onlooker.
Work at following the divine law of love. St Thomas Aquinas says when one acts with charity, which is a doing action, obe acts with their divine ability and love is their standard. Warmth and trust will spread inwardly and externally.
-USA likes to consume and own. Need to enable the poor working class and middle class to swell in size and share in the pie.
-stay open to being adaptable
-for those doing it tough, this is going to be a hard call, but work at keeping the jealousy at bay until things start to shift in your favour.
-President Trump may seem divisive but bottom line is, each and everyone of you need to build alliances and partnerships. It is a Must, even when another is trying to keep you divided.
-your health system? You need to fight for it.
-who in your culture represents the Lion? The eagle? They will be influential in the economic cisis in 6-12 months.
-the trade agreement betwern USA, UK, Australia..etc needs to be sorted out.
To Resolve a Economic Cisis in Next 6-12 months?
-technologies/think on your feet/improvise
-negotiate, negotiate
-contracts
-research/strategize/prepare
-work at trust/forming partnerships
You will improve the odds and regain what is lost.
Bottom Line:- "rally to find the courage to help yourself and help others not to be afraid to do the same".
Pride keeps us fighting even when there is no cause. Call off the war. It takes courage to find peace.

How can CNN and MSNBC twist the words and actions of Trump so easily? They even show a man behind Trump when he made the "second amendment" comment. The man was plainly laughing at the comment because it was meant as a joke.

Here once again Biden stands at a podium swings around his hands, and rants, seeking and appoint blame on American citizens, ultimately Republican citizens. Without cause, without proof of the motive of why or what possessed this nut job that attacked Paul Pelosi. Although in front of only a...

Well, yes. The answer is obvious.1) They oppose background checks and other gun laws so mentally unstable people can buy assault rifles and commit mass murders like in Orlando and Connecticut.2) They favor multi trillion dollar wars chasing weapons of mass destruction that don't exist instead of...

I realize this is an OP --- I must ask do you have any form of routes to back this comment "Trump has a detailed plan to consolidate power if he retakes the White House. He is planning to completely overhaul how the government works if he wins the 2024 presidential election, which would...

There are two separate questions really:1. What if Trump successfully proves that the election was fraudulent?2. What if Trump does not prove that the election was fraudulent, but is able to gain a 2nd term because one of his political appointees makes it so?3. What if Trump does not prove fraud...
