   When you die, people for once will remember to forget you. Do you agree?
   
   Leaving aside the moment of grief and the remorse bit, a general perspective of post death scenario would mostly have all sorts of positive verbiage and praise irrespectively. That applies to famous personalities, even lesser known ones as well as we the common people. But that's not the truth, is it?

   As far as celebrities go, somehow we are prone to make them into angels no matter their drug use, wife or girlfriend beating, or nasty personalities.
   
   I couldn't disagree more about real people. It seems that friends and relatives of the deceased always remember what a jerk Uncle Harry or harridan their neighbor, Helen, was.  Having recently lost my son, I've found that while certain people walk on eggs around me and actually say nice things that probably are untrue, some people find his death convenient to nitpick and backbite anything that he did. He was just an average guy with both good and bad qualities, and I would never try to make him into an angel. I know that his illness affected his mental state, however, I wish some people would keep some things to themselves. But if his neighbor tells me that he often did them favors like taking them to the grocery store or the doctor or helping them with their yard work, I know that it is true because that was just his way.

      I am truly sorry to hear of your loss.
      I lost my father even before I got to know him. I was five then. Unfortunately I'll never have the opportunity to find out if stories of his greatness were truth or mere deceit by those that gained....
