Of course there is a difference. I just saw a newscaster truthfully report on a topic but he was making faces and shrugging his shoulders to express his opinion about it. It was biased reporting. Word inflection and body language make a huge difference in whether what we hear is biased or unbiased. When it comes to the written word, a simple comma can make or break truthfulness.
It seems by his gestures he was giving his opinion or perspective...not the truth.
You can be biased or unbiased and still be independent of the Truth. Bias and unbiased are subjective, while the truth is objective
When someone says "The Truth", that usually refers to moral absolutes.
Unbiased truth usually refers to facts.
We often see scientism, where an effort to understand the scientific rules describing the universe or biology that drives humans is then used to try to justify moral rules that should be the basis of philosophy or religion.
That humans have tendencies we can study and measure does not give them moral weight, and there is a bad tendency to try to use science to justify immoral or totalitarian political regimes. Whether climate science to justify liberal totalitarianism or Lysenkoism and "sluggish schizophrenia" to justify communism or poor quality research to justify eugenics and totalitarianism in the early 1900s, science is NOT apolitical.
A major problem we have today is liberally biased social sciences used to attack conservatives and the Republican party, denying that those sciences have right now a liberal bias and are publishing politically motivated studies.
Survey shocker: Liberal profs admit they’d discriminate against conservatives in hiring, advancement

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I also feel that The Truth as you say refers to moral absolutes. Some of which we have yet to discover. For brevity, You throw a ball up, it comes down and you catch it. What is the truth of this in legal terms?
Unbiased truth - law of gravity. "Truth" from a moral sense, is it good or bad that we have gravity or an ethical weight regarding where the ball lands.
