What's your child's idea of the ultimate birthday party?

Sure, there's the usual suspects: bowling, skating, movies, jumpy at the house. Can you and your kids come up with something that youngsters would go nuts over if it was available in your community?

    Thanks for your ideas!

Hi Joelle (love your name by the way it's my daughters middle name and my son's name is Joel)

I have been needing ideas for my son's 2nd birthday.
There is a place near me in Ft. Lauderdale that is called Wannado city. It's a place where kids rule and they can become doctors pilots firemen bankers tv news reporter journalist. A very career oriented place that is fun and that parents aren;t allowed to be with them, they have their special place where they can supervise the kids through cameras and real time locator bracelets. I Unfortunately find the place a little too mature for my 1 year old but the place is a lot of fun for kids 4 and older, I have nephews that go wild and absolutely adore this place
Maybe there is such a place near you??

qb...thanks! If I was a boy, my name was going to be Joel after my great-grandfather. (No boys...I was the 3rd girl)

That place sounds interesting and fun. I haven't heard of anything like that around here. What's the place called? Do they have a website I can look at?

qb...oops...you did put the name. My 8-year-old was distracting me when I read your post. I'll look it up on the web.

When our kids were that age, we just did little parties at the house.

One year, we rented the local pool for our daughter's birthday--and all the kids had a blast!

It started around 7 p.m., after the pool closed to the public.  We had birthday cake and ice cream, nothing fancy, but the kids were more interested in swimming, than eating, anyway! big_smile

Even my grandparents came, although they didn't swim, lol.  They had a ball, watching all the young ones have so much fun!

qb, I checked out wannadocity...what a cool place. I wish we didn't live so far away. My son looked at it and he'd love to go there.
    THanks again!

The all time favorite birthday blast in our area is Chuck E Cheese, which is an entertainment party filled with all sorts of things to do.

Here in Pittsburgh we also have Wildwood which is the same sort of place as Chuck E Cheese.

Chuck E Cheese is a chain so you might look online to see if they have any near you.

P.S. I just did and they have a really nice website.

My son loves paint ball parties and xbox 360 parties for his birthdays.

Just keep them away from the new X-rated slip and slide.
