      Somewhere between 0 and $10,000 per month, varying with the time of year.
      
      Few people will make that number public; it is an open invitation to thieves to look over their hubs.

         I've had three virals in my last 8 years. You don't know the half of it.
         
         Organic brought on the thieves. Fortunately, all dead now; hubs were time-sensitive and now gone; kind of hard to fight 100+ thefts per. It just plods along now and Google is smart enough to keep originals first. Every once in awhile I do check, I don't even DMCA anymore; I just have the collection agency send them a bill. It works. Criminal prosecution does work in some cases, depends on jurisdiction.
         
         The previous paragraph is complete fiction. Or not.

                  Hi, Rochell -- I want to be honest and very transparent. This coming June will make me 8 years on HP, and even with the earlier hubs that I am deleting for being so stupid and asinine, well, in my wildest dreams would I ever make
                  $500.00 a month. I would be happy with $250 a month. I could buy groceries, needs for my home, but as I sent a very honest email to team@hubpages.com last night, I simply cannot write and write and my pay-out balance seldom changes. I am tired an don the  verge of chunking it all and just sitting in my bedroom and talk to my daughter in heaven.
                  I never asked for the world, just some respect and a little more money and if I have said one thing in THIS reply that was offensive, I apologize.

                     Kenneth, I think the problem with your hubs is that they read like blog posts. They're very personal and often about memories and things like that, which can be charming but people aren't going to find on Google, which is where the successful people here get their views.
                     
                     To get lots of views you need to write guides, how tos, and things like that. All my top viewed articles are video game guides because people are searching in Google how to get past a certain mission.
                     
                     Think about things you can do that not everyone can do. This can be as simple as some DIY stuff in your home or fixing your car.

                     That would be a shame Kenneth.  I remember suggesting once to you that you could write a hub about building bird boxes because you were making some at the time.   If you study Pinterest boards you will see that there is interest in new designs and or/how to's to make them.  Why not experiment with some new ideas and see how you go.  Of course, this may depend on your health and if this is not possible I am sorry.   I know that I never dreamed that I would be writing about felting.  I do know that my earlier hubs which are more personal to me don't get much traffic.

                     Rochelle is right - my normal income is somewhere in that range.  Although perhaps I should have increased the top number as HP mentioned a while back that there was a problem with paypal payments over $10,000 (I think that was the number), so someone is doing it!

      I get the rules and follow it but I still find this a bit odd. If I look at HubPages signed out there are some Hubbers with their earnings prominently displayed including how much they make in a month and in a year.

   poppyr -- you are right. Several months back, I had Deja Vu with ths same situation, but someone, I forget whom, advised me on doing my hubs this way instead of what I was publishing which was mostly "how to" but in comical views, so I went to writing narratives about current and some non-current issues.

      What strikes me is that your titles aren't particularly search engine friendly. Yes, they reflect the content of your hubs, but aren't necessarily what people type into Google. Perhaps, if you made them more compelling, you would attract more readers.
      
      Look up the headline analyser from Coschedule. It's a free tool and will provide a score for your title. They're not always right, but there's a lot of useful info there. They do ask for your email address and will send you SEO emails. Some I bin, but others have been quite informative. Why not give it a go?

   As for people claiming that content will get stolen - well honestly, that ship has sailed. There are several thousand duplicates of both my popular and unpopular hubs. Hubpages is a scraper's paradise and your content is more likely to get stolen simply by ranking well on Google than by bragging to a handful of people in the forums.

         This is exactly what I came to say. Also, if I really wanted to steal something, I can easily tell the articles that are receiving the most organic traffic on every niche site in under 5 minutes (all 27 of them).
         
         Also, HP does not say you cannot reveal your earnings. You cannot reveal your Adsense portion of the earnings, but you are free to discuss your CPM, etc of the HP Ads program. I think it was Paul who clarified this some time ago when someone brought up the topic regarding the home page posts of some big earners.

                     There are tools out there that tell you the pages that rank on a website for specific search terms and the volume of the search terms. SEMRush and AHREFs do this. So I may not be picking the top article if it receives searches from 1000s of 100-month keywords, but I can tell the pages that are ranking for 1000's of searches a month terms etc.
                     
                     People who really want to steal and who have the ability to take your work and make it better than yours already know of all these tricks. So there's no real point hiding the articles that bring you traffic. Instead, by telling others here on the community, more people could emulate your strategies on their pages and in turn the entire site (niche sites) does better, as it has more high-quality content.
                     
                     The March 12th update has done good on most of the niche sites in general with Owlcation getting a lot more traffic, SEMRush predicts it to be 47% higher than February. Of course these are predictions based on ranking improvements. Click through rate plays an important factor here. But the point to take away is that the niche sites just got a boost in rankings after the March 12th Google update which benefitted my own personal websites and the websites of my clients too. Basically, sites with good content saw increases in rankings.

   It took me more than a year to make my first payout. Back then the payout was $100 from Google Adsense. I've been away from this website and the entire internet for nearly two years at a time since then, and I got paid EVERY SINGLE MONTH from Hubpages.
   
   So I'm pretty loyal to this place now. It's extremely hard work to build up enough material to where you can just disappear and keep getting paid every month, but it can sure be done.

    I'm happy to say that my earnings are steadily increasing as I have been making monthly payout over the last few months. This has never happened before and I credit the niche sites for my improved earnings. I write the same way I wrote before so I can't say I've improved that much. So I owe it to changes made by HP.
    
    It's all relative, though, as I'm clearly not making bank like the top hubbers (hundreds or thousands of $s per month). If I could consistently make $100 per month, I'd be very happy. This is the direction my earnings and views are headed now. Hoping and wishing.
