I submitted a hub for a niche site about 10 days ago and it still hasn't been moved. It usually goes a lot faster than that, and I don't think there are any issues with the hub itself, I proofed it well.
I also published a new one about the same time, and my articles normally go onto niches quite fast. What happened to all the new editors? I find all the waiting interferes with my ability or motivation to write new pieces.
It's possible that there is a backlog for some reason. It's also possible that they didn't approve your article being moved. It might be well written and free of errors or other problems but if it is something that has been covered in other articles they might feel it isn't different enough to warrant moving it. Try getting a hold of the HP team (include the name of the niche site in the subject to increase the chance of it getting to the right editor) and ask about it. Good luck.
It's definitely something not covered in other articles. It's abut reincarnation and what happens in between incarnations on earth. The staff is used to my metaphysical topics, and normally receptive to them. I only asked to put it in Exemplore, although it's well researched enough for Owlcation. I'll wait and see.
Have a good day.
I would send a quick note to the HP team then and just see if it just hasn't been looked at yet. At least then you'll know. It would be nice when backup occurs if the staff would post something for the community so we're aware. Have a great rest of your weekend.
Hi Natalie,
That's a good idea, it shouldn't be too cumbersome for the staff to let authors know if they are backed up. It doesn't take long to make a post, and I know I get "stuck" in a place where I don't want to write more when I am unsure of the status of the last piece or two I wrote.
I'm the same way. It can be hard to continue to feel motivated when you have articles whose status you are unsure of. Whenever I submit an article to a niche sight I try to just forget about it entirely until it's time to submit the next one. Since we can only submit one every two weeks it doesn't really matter if one is excepted quickly or not since I can't submit another one early. Then I can submit a new one and if the old one needs anything I can still fix it and resubmit without it affecting whether I can submit another one. Anyway - I guess you saw that Robin responded. It sounds like the article could go to more than one niche site and they're just deciding which is the best which is good news. Have a great night.
You too Natalie. Thanks for your kind assistance.
The article was submitted 8 days ago and is still in our queue. Sometimes articles will fit on multiple sites, and when this happens it can take longer because we are assessing which site the article fits the best. Usually our editors spend some time talking about the article before moving it, which is time consuming. We are also training five new people right now, so our editors are extra busy. Thanks for your patience!
Thanks Robin,
Today I saw that one was moved to a niche.
The editor had an issue with the other one and I am adjusting the article so we can agree on her suggestions. I thought they were very petty considering the time and research I put into that piece. She wanted me to take one article out of the title, which didn't change the meaning, and insinuated that I was not familiar with my source material. Although I own an extensive library of metaphysical subjects, sometimes I write based on knowledge I had for many years and learned in workshops or in books I borrowed from another library. After 40+ years of study, I don't always even recall how I originally got fascinated by a specific idea or how I began researching it.
I think it can be worked out.
Best of luck training the new editors.

Just expressing my concern about the editors. How can we make sure that they are contributing to our morale and our improvement?I wrote an article about my grandchildren and me. I used ONLY ORIGINAL PICTURES of my grandchildren and me, which the editor thought was good enough to keep. Yet, he/she...

Hello Beautiful souls, This month, I submitted two of my articles to network sites and have yet to hear back from the editors. They did not accept or reject it, and I did not receive any emails stating that the articles had been placed in the editing queue. The strange thing is that I emailed them...

I've had four articles receiving constant organic traffic that usually would have been transferred to LevelSkip within a day or so of submitting them. Anyone else feeling like transfers are moving slower, or am I just impatient and perturbed by the lower earnings due to being in Discovery limbo?

If I have an article on HubPages.com is there a way to submit it to the HubPages editors, so they can determine if it qualifies for Discover.Hubpage.com?

I submitted an article nearly 5 weeks ago after an editor requested that it be edited. Should it take this long to be submitted to a Niche site, or if it is no longer considered, is a notification issued?

Hello Hubbers,I had submitted my hub to be considered for exemplore.com. The next day I received an email, saying that it was eligible for owlcation.com along with some recommendations to improve my hub. I did make the required changes and submitted the article for owlcation. I haven't heard from...
