How to Make Special Links on Articles?

   I feel naive for asking this, but how do you create links on a hub that take the reader to a specific part of the article?
   
   I know how to make links that send the reader to another page, but not the links that make the reader scroll down. I've seen other hubbers create those links. It seems like it would be useful for lists or similar things.
   
   Also, what is the terminology of those types of link? Assuming they have one . . .

      You are talking about creating a Table of Contents.  It can be done but is not a good thing to do as the team is not likely to feature articles with too many links.  A better bet is to set your capsule titles up so that they are in order such that they tell a story and that the end of one capsule leads into the next.

         This is not true, Robin says it is welcome and I heard from others that editors are actually creating a table of contents on some hubs. Of course, it needs to be only on hubs where it is really needed, not on all hubs.

   I know someone explained this really well when describing how to create a TOC.  I'm not sure who but hopefully they'll weigh in - Glen maybe?  Try searching the forums for creating a TOC.

   If you go to lobobrandon´s profile and read his artilce on SEO for hubpages 2018 he has a link on how to set up a table of contents (a very clear article by Glenn Stock).
   The way I use this is by putting some frequently asked questions at the top of the article and then link them to the section of the article that has the appropriate answer. That way a reader that does not want to read the entire article can click on your page, click onto the question they are interested in, be moved to the appropriate capsule, read, and then go on to whatever they were doing before. (I guess that is assuming that the entire article does not catch their interest. Hopefully it will.)

   Okay, so they are called internal links. Quite frankly, for me, creating them might be monumentally difficult & convoluted. The process is perplexing. I wish there was a less unconventional way of creating internal links.
   
   In short, my level of ignorance exceeds my knowledge.
   
   I know internal links are optional & I've already had success without them. However, it would make a recent article of mine easier to read, particularly for readers with less patience or those looking for a specific thing.

      Unfortunately, it cannot be easier than it is right now. That hub by Darkside is essentially a "for dummies" hub, follow it step by step and you have your in-page link. Internal links are links to other pages of the same site.

      You can always succeed more! If you are smart enough to figure out all of those tricks to win those games then this will be a piece of cake.
