paul, the new feature of displaying google link unit is good move..
but its very annoying to see ebay ads replacing the google ads in my hubs..we can earn almost nothing from ebay ...adsense is the best revenue maker for any hubber i think..so give the hubbers thier choice to put ebay ads only if they want it..placing a adsense link unit in the side bar in place of ebay ads would be more efficient..smile

All i want to say is that don't replace google ads with ebay ads for the sake of earning more revenue from adsense...

Hi Ramesh, We have been developing a technology that creates the highest yielding combinations of ads.  We still have many improvements, but since testing it, the total yields are better than a static adsense implementation.

We launched the redesign with it off since we still had some more work to do on it, but we turned it back on last night.  We'll be releasing more information about this technology shortly, but overtime, this will help you make more revenues on HubPages.

i agree with you paul that testing is important for any system to find its a success or not...
but my bold request is what ever you do ,do it without ebay ads bcoz so many hubbers did n't have proper ebay affliate ids and putting the ads without affliation is merely not useful...

You'll be happy to know that, if a Hubber does not have an eBay affiliate ID, we display the old AdSense layout for their impressions.  HubPages uses our behavior formatting optimization layout on our share of the impressions only.

But if a Hubber has a valid eBay affiliate code, we use this technology on all impressions.  We do recommend that serious Hubbers signup with eBay as their affiliate program is very generous.

So you're not losing any revenue to eBay but it seems unfair to ask us to use the old layout on our share of impressions as well.
