Question about Questions

   I have noticed that most of the questions I get are from one article. Those questions are piling up. Most are very specific and can not be answered by reading the article. That being said, do too many questions attached to one article hurt that article?
   
   I feel like too many comments dragged an article down but is that true for too many questions?

      No, this does not harm the article. Though I suppose if they are very niche questions, there wouldn't be much of a boost traffic-wise. If they cannot be answered by reading the article, and you do not have a proper response and/or want to write one out, you can always delete them! Or you can simply turn Q&A off for that particular article.

   Thank you Sam and Titia - I get rid of the stupid ones and answer the sensible ones. Just wondering if a long list of questions might cause a page to be slow or whatever.

      Won't cause it to be slow as it's all text. But I would advise you not to answer questions that are already answered in plain sight had the person read the hub. These could harm your hub as your answer would not directly, but indirectly be a copy of a section of your hub.

         You'll still get those page views, though, which could be helpful if your articles are filled with helpful content, and a reader is looking for a quick answer.

            Yup, but that works against you in search engines and the result is you get fewer views.

         Thanks for pointing that out, about the images, lobo. I don't answer questions that would repeat the article thought some of the generic parts of the answers may be a bit of a repeat. So I ought to think on that one.

   @ Dolores, as you mentioned, many of the questions I see go your way are basically asking the same thing (I.e., I found ___. How much is it worth?" So, if you have a go-to search engine for those inquirers to find answers with, I'm sure just answering one or two with this type of reply can represent your general expert advice for your audience as a whole.

   I am getting more questions than comments. Has anyone noticed that  questions have taken the place of comments on their articles as well?
