Dear HubPages staff,
I have an article published recently here.
https://hubpages.com/education/CCNY-Alumni-House
In the article, there appears an ad for some container...
It has no connection to the subject matter of my article.
When I click on the response to specify it is “inappropriate”
The same ad keep showing up. How come?
Here is a screen shot of the ad.
I tried various responses and none seems to work. I keep seeing the same ads over and over again. It is almost like this system is broken or not working as intended. Hence my posting here.
That is not my terminology.
The options are:
1. ad covered content.
2. ad seen multiple times.
3. Ad not interested seeing.
4. Ad inappropriate.
Here is the screen shot of the flag options...
Ads do not have to be relevant to the page. So that is not considered to make them "inappropriate".
What is the point of placing an ad? I thought the whole purpose is for relevant ads placed in articles so that there is more likely they will be viewed and clicked on...
Ads differ according to the person viewing the article. When I click on your article I see an ad for a local, to me, insurance broker and another for someone selling what appears to be a telemarketing service.
Why an algorithm somewhere thinks the latter is relevant to me is a mystery.
I get that, each person gets their own personalized ads based on their interest profile as determined by their search history. Have you try to flag an ad? Does it work for you?
I think we must be relevant when linking an ad, but Adsense might be as irrelevant as they wish. What is relevant is making money.

Have your comments been ignored? If you spend the time to read a hub and leave a comment, does it bother you if the author acknowledges all the other comments but yours? And do you just forgive the oversight and continue to follow them?

how many words must be written at least in the hub ?
by Larry Taylor 14 months ago
I understand why HB likes longer articles, and on some subjects it's easy to reach 700, 800, or more words. Sometimes though, I say everything I want to say on a topic and I'm done at between 450 and 600 words. Trying to add more text to reach the recommended minimum of 700 makes the hub look......

Re: My Hub https://hubpages.com/literature/The-Hou … -It-for-MeThis hub has been featured for a rather long time. It recently has been marked as Not Featured with a comment that it may have spammy elements. I do not put spammy elements on my Hubs. The notice makes reference to ads. I...
