Do You Read Very Old Posts?

   There have been times I have been on a post and seen another that caught my attention at the bottom and at such times, I have clicked through to read it.
   
   However, I believe I read somewhere on this site to leave old posts alone as they might contain data or facts that have become outdated. While this holds some truth, I have gotten some pretty important knowledge from some of these posts and made it a point to update my knowledge of whatever is outdated later on.
   
   I still check out said posts if they catch my interest. Do you or would you rather read more current articles?

      Some things don't change, no matter how much time goes by. I think a lot of old hubs are just as relevant as new ones, and if I haven't read them, they are new to me.

      When you say "old posts", do you mean old forum posts, or do you mean old Hubs?   
      
      We don't call Hubs "posts" because this is not a blogging site. They are "articles", or "Hubs".   
      
      The whole point of a good Hub is that it is "evergreen" - it's on a subject that never goes out of date.  That's how you make money here.   It's very rare to write a Hub that gets big traffic immediately.   A successful Hub is one that earns a dollar or two every month, and goes on earning consistently for years.

      Oh yes, I read old posts.  If it's a topic of interest to me, then yes, I will read it.  Some of the information is still relevant and informative.

      If you mean old forum posts I read those sometimes. It is interesting to see what people had to say four to five years ago. It is also interesting to see some of those same people still post now!
      
      I read old hubs sometimes depending on the subjects.

      It depends on whether the topic is time sensitive, I think. When I'm browsing through the anime category, for example, I tend to look for newer hubs because I know it will include newer shows. But if I'm looking for something about cats, it doesn't matter when the hub was published. Cats are cats whether in the past, present or future. :-)

   I always prefer to read old posts. Don't know why but I have this habit of digging way down deep.or may be that's because of my love for the antiques.lol. Anyways, whenever I have spare time, I go for the old posts saved on my different social media sites and always start from the old ones.

      Some old posts are gold; I have seriously found such useful information off of some of them and I also read them hoping karma rewards my effort by having people read my old posts too. Haha.

         I do too; most are detailed and rich!
         
         Sometimes I get carried away when I start on these old posts, but its usually time well spent.
