How is everyone making money with Amazon on HubPages? Seems everyone is talking about their revenue but how?
It sounds to me like you are asking the mechanics of how to do it. On that assumption, I will answer your question. Just put an Amazon capsule on your page and put a link to an item in it, or add a text link to an Amazon product. Lately the links are more recommended, but I still use capsules sometimes. Go to your settings page and make sure that Amazon is active. That all there is to it, if someone buys the product, or even some other product, by entering Amazon through your link you will get a small commission.
The item in the link must be directly related to the article it's in. You need to give a description of it, tell about your personal experience with it, and why you recommend it over other products. It needs to flow with the article, and not seem out of place or spammy. If you don't follow those guidelines carefully, your Amazon links will most likely be snipped. From looking at your articles, it seems like books would be a likely item to add, but again, you must detail how it relates to your article and why it would add to their knowledge of the subject.
I gave up on Amazon ages ago. I don't even bother putting Amazon stuff in my articles anymore. It was a waste of my time.
Actually I do not think anyone is talking about revenue from Amazon anymore, but lack thereof. It is a waste of time and since that company decided to treat HP with disrepect even if done properly will not earn but a few hundred per month.
Concentrate on your writing and the earnings program.
It's still a reasonable earner in comparison to the ad income alone, but way down on what it used to be, for a variety of reasons, the two main ones being:
1. Amazon drastically lowered the commission percentage rates earlier this year. It's virtually cut earnings in half, and they were already relatively low compared to previous years.
2. Google has dealt with Amazon-orientated articles on here increasingly harshly. If you want to make any money with Amazon, you have to carefully plan the article, just throwing in a few capsules won't generally work.
There is some good advice in this thread, but I would also recommend studying the advice that Maven/HP gives in the Learning Center. Amazon-orientated articles have to be pretty subtle nowadays to have any success.

I don't think I ever set up Amazon right. I have not made a single cent in the 2 months I've...been here, is this normal? I have through Adsense, so I'm wondering what I've done wrong with Amazon?

I can see contextual advertising being a source of income but wouldn't think that hubs would be making a lot of revenue from ebay and amazon. If people are really making money then perhaps I'll give it a try.

I have a hub that isn't really an adsense earner because of the topic, but I have a lot of products I'm showing for the purpose of earning with Amazon, is it best to have a picture of one of the products up at the top where the first adsense ad shows (top right). Currently I have that big adsense...

I'm thinking of adding Amazon.com capsules to my hubs. Is anybody making money doing this, or am I wasting my time? Please respond ASAP.

I am getting lots of clicks, but have only had 1 sale. I've tried posting fewer items. Have also added "pre-sell" text. Is this worth my time?? Looking for advice. Thanks.

I have never earned a cent from Amazon in 4 months. Not a single cent. Also I see conflicting advice from the experts here, some say dispense with Amazon altogether, others seem to make money from Amazon. So, just before I go and delete the Amazon capsules from all of my hubs, I thought I would at...
