I've been shown and now understand (sort of) what everyone means by "oneness".
It is that everything is connected physically in the universe. It is one giant being.
The one thing about religion and philosophy that I dislike the most is that those who imbibe in them always seem to be trying to fellate themselves with their own presentation of their beliefs. Even worse is the improbable claims to mysticism, such as the universe being one giant being, or ruled by a being. Sure, it is, "like," a giant being, but unlike a single being we can destroy, build, and destroy again, bits and pieces of that being over and over without much real consequence, theoretically speaking of course.
That isn't to say this isn't a great metaphor for what the universe is, either, because looking at it in such a poetic/mystical way should, in theory, also mean you're more conscious of your every action. However, within my own life I've also come to notice that those who look at the world this way are also some of the most self-involved creatures on the planet. All these flowery words and perceptions born from a look inward at their own selfishness, rather than an outward-reaching selflessness.
Case in point: The universe is an ecosystem, and it is our job to apply physical sciences in an objective way so as to keep it functioning and healthy. A much simpler description with scientific grounds, without the flowery misconceptions and self-inflation that mysticism and poetry cause.
Yes I am self-involved. I don't think that is always a fault.
As am I, and no it isn't always a fault, didn't mean to imply it was. I was only implying that I have a distaste for flowery words and poetry as it concerns religion and philosophy, as I've always been a bigger fan of literal telling and those who use such diction.
I don't know about a giant being, but maybe. Sounds as good an explanation as any.
Although I'm not so sure about being connected to crazy people who try drive by hits on a thread.
I, personally, believe Hilbert space and cyber space have become intertwined and we sometimes hear from the oneness of a crazy alternate universe.
But, that's just my belief.
I don't really believe it. It just helps me sleep at night, explaining away some of the nut jobs you run across online.
"Other people's input upsets me to the point of personally attacking them if they don't fall directly in line with my opinions, and especially if they refuse to argue me."
At least you can sleep at night, I guess!
Lol. As usual, those who have a disdain for religion and philosophy lack a sense of humor.
Your toxic femininity is triggering me, that's all.
When all religions, who each believe they are the right religion. You have to be in awe with wtf.
All religions are based on interpretation, either of direct revelation, or study, or both.
No one is handing us the answers on a silver platter. That used to frustrate me, but now I think it is for the best. Mysteries, even serious ones, bring spice to our lives.
Fantasies, fairytales and the 99% unknown mysteries can be interesting, fun and add some personal growth. It's better to master life from the kingdom within, then give it all away. For all that one has in life, is what one gives away.

I wrote this to ellaberate a little on my views on spirituallity. When I say God, I am using it in refference to all religions. Religion is a way for a specific group of people, to communicate the idea that is their God. I believe the idea is universal, in terms that it is intrinsic to a geographic...

I am young, and my peers are young. We all seem to come from families who practice different, even opposing relgions. Yet we see that as only a minor aspect of our lives. It weighs nothing on our relationships with one another and others. Even though some of todays youth may deem themselves...

The short answer is, "Yes."Should he or she, though? My answer , after my own search, long, difficult, very individualistic is again, "Yes." Can I understand why some or many rational individuals would have difficulty with the very notion of believing in any God? Again,...

This is a hypothetical question. If in fact whatever religion you happen to believe in was not true, what would it take to persuade you? Obviously, the more severe the charge, the more evidence we demand in order to accept it. For example, if your buddy told you he had Chinese for dinner last...
