Hey Hubbers,
I've been active on HubPages for more than 3 weeks now, and have been able to get out of the Boot camp successfully with all the articles being given a featured tag. But unfortunately, I've not been able to figure out why I'm not being able to get ads on my articles, and can anyone clear my doubt that we have to give our articles to Maven Channels to get ads? Or does it work on its own?
Or how does the system of getting ads on the articles work?
Contact Team HubPages here: https://hubpages.com/help-wizard/ . Hope this helps.
Thanks Trekal,
I have already raised the concern via an email, but there was no reply from their side. Still waiting for their reply, till then I thought that the community over here might have an idea.
Your articles may at first have been featured, but most of them have now been moved to the hubpages.com site on which there are no ads.
It is only if your articles remain on the discover.hubpages.com site that they will show ads.
Is there any limit to how many articles can feature on discover.hubpages.com? It shows that I can only apply for this only after an interval of 14 days.
The 14 days refers to applying to the niche sites. You can only submit 1 article every 14 mays to be moved to a niche site.
I tried submitting an article to a niche site, after that I was not able to send any other article for discover.hubpages.com, does that happen often?
Yes, if you do not wait 14 days to submit a second article. It doesn't matter which site you are submitting to, you can only submit one article every 14 days to a niche site.
For instance, if you submit an article to Owlcation, you have to wait 14 days before you can submit an article to Discover.
Mind if I ask another question, suppose if I want to submit articles to discover.hubpages.com, can I submit multiple articles back to back or at the same time without any gap of 14 days?
Discover is new so I'm not really sure, but I would guess that the same rule applies. If you submit an article to Discover, you have to wait 14 days before submitting another one.
Samantha, care to weigh in here?
I forgot to add that the 14 day rule is in place because if everyone submitted articles every day, the editors would be overwhelmed. By limiting how many articles you can submit at one time, it gives the editors a chance to evaluate each one in a timely manner.
I don't see any article that has ads off on their account. They should wait until the team gets back to them for further analysis, though.
I'm pretty sure they are automatically moved to Discover if and when they are deemed good enough. Articles are reviewed when they are edited.
Having them on Discover is okay, but you should aim higher.
You've only got one article that isn't on Discover. Frankly, it needs work to bring it up to scratch.
To be honest, I want to aim higher and get all my articles featured on all the niche sites possible but, to do so I need to understand how things work on this site. That's what I've been trying to do for a while, I used to think that once you get a "featured" tag on your article you qualify for the ads to be placed on your articles or at least get featured on discover, but that's not the case, I just want to know that where am I going wrong and why are others being able to do so but I’m not.
There's a learning curve, for sure, but it will all fall into place. Discover is new for all of us, so even the oldies are having to learn as we go

Hello Hubbers,I had submitted my hub to be considered for exemplore.com. The next day I received an email, saying that it was eligible for owlcation.com along with some recommendations to improve my hub. I did make the required changes and submitted the article for owlcation. I haven't heard from...

If I have an article on HubPages.com is there a way to submit it to the HubPages editors, so they can determine if it qualifies for Discover.Hubpage.com?

I understand there's no reason to submit new articles to niche sites because staff get to those first, but I'm debating whether to go through my old articles to submit them. Is this something anyone here does with success?

Hi, my respected fellows. I am a new writer on HP and have written two featured articles, but my articles are not moving toward nichsite. I think writing feature articles is not a big deal, but meeting the requirements of the niche site is a difficult task. I think I will write one article in a...
