   Biden seems to forget the defense secretary’s name, calls him ‘the guy who runs that outfit. and the two women"
   
   President Biden on Monday appeared to forget Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s name at a White House event — calling the New Pentagon chief "the guy who runs that outfit over there."
   
   Biden was announcing the nomination of two female generals,   Air Force Gen. and Jacqueline Van Ovost to lead the US Transportation Command and Army Lt. Gen. Laura Richardson to lead US military combatant commands and gave a speech which he read from a teleprompter. Earlier at the speech, Biden mentioned the Defense Department leader by his name, “Secretary Austin,” while reading from a teleprompter.
   In closing off the teleprompter said this ---
   
   "And I want to thank the sec — the the , ah former general. I keep calling him general, but my, my — the guy who runs that outfit over there,"   President Biden March 9, 2021
   
   Biden was clearly confused and remained so later that same afternoon when visiting a Washington Hardware store. The media attempted to ask him questions --- he stood mute looking from side to side as if looking for someone.
   
   It has been 49 days and Biden has yet to give a press conference. It is also been reported that Biden has not taken several calls from foreign leaders. It has been reported that VP Harris has taken foreign leader's calls from France, Isreal, and Canada.
   
   Why is this president not available off monitor,  to answer questions from the media? In my opinion, he is experiencing mentation problems, it is very evident when he speaks off the monitor he is showing "deer in the headlights" confusion. We the people need to demand this man be cognitively evaluated. Can't imagine what Foreign leaders are thinking about our president.

               Is he not the president?   His confusion certainly is not magically going to go away. Just plan to point it out as I see it. Otherwise, as time goes by I would need to write a book.

                  I had a boss who called me Sharon half the time (my name is Sandy). I suppose he was "confised," too? He also happened to be one of the top three attorneys in the city. He had a speech disorder. Imagine that!

                     That he said the name a few minutes prior would seem to support the idea of mental problems.  That's not uncommon in those with Alzheimer's or dementia; it only takes minutes or even seconds to forget what just happened.

                           As is almost always the case, I said nothing about Biden's supposed issue; only that you seemingly supported the idea of a supposed issue by way of your own comment.  You are the one that pointed out Biden's forgetfulness, not I - I only commented that you are apparently supporting the theory there is a problem.

                              As is almost always the case, you seem to have forgotten what you wrote just hours earlier.  It wasn't me that mentioned dementia or Alzheimer's - that would be you:

                              I simply noted that Trump, the guy you voted for, has multiple instances of the exact same thing that Biden is being criticized for.  Suddenly, it's an issue when it's not your guy.

                           I gave an opinion as a layman. Trump certainly had a habit of murdering names. He never appeared confused.   That's my right. In my opinion, Biden's confused, and all in his circle know it, and he is being handled as best they can at this point.  This man has no control over what he said and has been most likely told to not say anything as witnessed anytime he shuffles out after an appearance.

                                 Biden forgets names, he said, "you know the thing"...  he draws a blank. One certainly can call another by the wrong name,  but to not bounce back is not normal.  He just moves on due to really not being able to think and come up with a proper response. He is experiencing confusion. This man was a senator for many years, and well known on the floor for his long presentations. He was articulate and could speak for hours. I witnessed his young years, perhaps this is why I see such a difference, a confusion.  He actually was known to go on and on... Hey, I have come to my conclusions due to perhaps my own memory of his earlier years. He was very articulate while VP. His confusion seems new and ongoing.  I don't feel comfortable with Biden in the White House. And I think it a prudent subject, especially due to his confusion seems to be getting worse.  Not a nice or kind subject, but one that needs addressing. This is not about Trump, we know he had many character flaws, and these character flaws were very obviously witnessed when he communicated.
                                 This is about our new president.
                                 
                                 It would appear you do not see a problem with Biden's mentation. I will respect your opinion.  We all have one, and yes I present mine in book form. My Bad  LOL

                                    I wonder if Biden can say "Person, woman, man, camera,TV" in the right order? If so, he's golden! Just give him the same test Trump took and we can put this issue to rest. Especially if Biden makes a point of repeating those words at every opportunity.                                        You may find this odd -- but we agree. I really do not think if Biden were given a list of five unrelated words he would not be able to do repeat the words. It appears he is having trouble with short-term memory. His long-time memory seems to be pretty good.  Unfortunately, short-term memory is the first to be noted in dementia. I mean he had just read Austin's name seconds before not being able to recall his name. He does well with reading a speech, but the moment it's over he looks for someone to direct him if it is off a stage or out of a hardware store. The other day when ha asked Pelosi if he was supposed to answer questions his feed was cut abruptly.  I see recurring procedures when Biden speaks.  he uses a teleprompter and is quickly removed without him taking questions. Or he takes a question and offers a funny back at the reporter.
                                       
                                       Like I said I did not find Trump confused, he had some serious Character flaws that spilled over into his communications.

                        Yeah... Plus I actually noted in my opening comment the fact he did make mention of Austin's name twist before forgetting it.  Selective thinking is so dangerous to one's intelligence.  And so many today due to media blurbs have picked up this disturbing habit.

                     But thank you... I found the very FACT that he had used Austin's name twist within seconds of forgetting his name,  aided in confirmed my opinion that he is a very confused man.
                     
                     It would seem you are falling into a bad habit of selecting only a few words out of a paragraph and adding your own context. No half-truths here, I presented the full context of what went down. The "whole ball of wax".

                           So sorry for not adopting the art of presenting blurbs. I guess I hope to provide some info on how I come about an opinion. I just don't come to an opinion from short bylines or articles that have five or six sentences. I like to try to look at any subject as new, something I could learn from, something that blurbs just don't do justice. In fact, one can come out the other end appearing as if they just bye blurbs and run with them and could care very little about truth.

                     I have not witnessed too much of this on the HP forum. I myself during the campaign went after her job performance as a senator., and a few of her media statements when the summer protests were occurring. And hey, you sort of reminded me about her voice. I find it more nasally than shrill. I don't care about her voice or much else but her job history. Can she do a job?
                     
                     And you are correct her entire lie will be scrutinized if she for any reason becomes the president. It's called media dirty laundry. And over the past few years has become much worse with cancel culture. In my opinion, the Republicans have joined in the ugly fun of dropping their values and bashing and canceling as good as any Dem. Some can of worms...
