So I recently had a forum discussion titled "The HubPages Newspaper". In there, I suggested that a monthly newspaper version of HubPages could be published by Maven.

I want to say that something I didn't mention in that forum thread, which is this: We could pick the best contents from the HubPages Newspaper, and publish a magazine every four months. This magazine would also contain additional contents from the Maven world just as well.

    Any thoughts?

    Thank you.

My thoughts, it's a nice idea but change the photo back again, the photo of cats was cute

I removed that because the lower portion of the cat was portrayed in the picture in an 'awkward' way. Some hubbers might have objected that. So I removed it.

But because you like it, I shall post here a link of that photo. Here it is:

You need to do some market research before proposing harebrained schemes.  Print magazines are steadily going out of business because no one reads them any more.  Readers have moved to the internet instead.

I am now waiting for the next forum post, where it will be suggested that the best bits from the magazine will be printed in an (equally imaginary) annual publication. wink

I don't think that would be necessary henceforth.

There should also be a free in-flight magazine.

And how about a 'worst of...'? I can think of a few contenders.

I think it is funny how serious people take these “tongue in cheek” forum posts of yours Tanmoy. But, they do spark conversation.

I think we should go totally retro and reproduce the best of HubPages in illuminated manuscript form on scrolls. Or, maybe even chiseled on blocks of stone.

We need a completely oral version of HP, where people learn their hubs by heart, and then recite them around campfires.

Here's something I actually do think would be cool: A Hubpages calendar - featuring writers. Maybe not for sale on the market but it would be a cool prize or sold in-house for writers of the site.

Excellent idea Paul. Although not being much of an out doorsy type myself might I suggest the snug at the Dog in a Doublet as an alternate venue?

Interesting idea, Tanmoy. Trust you to come up with that! Well, I'm all for innovation. Would be a huge risk like the Venture Capatalist themselves take. Deep down I sometimes feel that Hub Pages is way ahead of many and knows what's going on. Sterling work! Much Love.
