Because they count your views, meaning that you have clioked on or refreshed (or even just pressed 'save unpublished' or 'preview') on your own hub. If you visit your hub right now, you add a page view.

      really?
I have had unpublshed hubs, becuase my computer crashed while typing
came back the next day..it had like 3 views..I never even turned on my computer...
I just figured it was a mistake...
AND once published, Ive checked my hub like a million times to see if I have any comments (im kinda insecure)and the stats dont change?
this is all way over my head I guess..

Its because the stats are not 'real time'.... they update every so often. Not sure if it is every 30 mins, or 60 mins or something.

well, I get the  not real time thingy..

Yeah thats right. If you look at a hub ten times, check your stats right after, it will still say no '0'. Go back to it a few hours later and it will probably say '10'. The views include each time you refresh, or press 'save unpublished' etc etc..... soon adds up.

If you had the time, yes...lol but don't do that Google will know you are cheating the system.

But like Ryan said the views on unpublished hubs are your own views.  Sometimes they go up if you have to keep returning to them to edit.  It use to annoy me so now I just dont start a hub until I finish writing it.
