I use Trend Micro, AVG, and Kaspersky (on different computers.)

Why? Because they are all very effective.

I wouldn't touch Nortons or Mcafee with a barge pole, because of some very bad experiences with them in the past.

Are they free? I use Comodo Internet Security which is free. Is this okay?

For my Windows computers I use Norton Internet Security because it is a complete set of protection (adware, spyware, virus, firewall, spam).  I have tested many products and prefer this one

I had tried Avira before and I uninstalled it due to frequent popups which are annoying. can't delete, quarantine or remove virus. i dnt know why was that so.

I'm using McAfee because it came with my computer. When that subscription expires I will use AVG free which I use on my netbook.
