Is there a specific strategy? What pictures should I use? How do I get grouped up with related pins?
Also, I got my first google search view on my 10 types of abusive men article, I'm ecstatic!
There are several schools of thought. I recommend researching for yourself and finding out what works best for you. I find Pinterest valuable because it ranks #2 among my traffic sources.
There's no official Pinterest guide, although I have said to HP that one would be useful, in my opinion.
There are some good independent guides online though (as well as some crap). Make sure you find something relatively recent.
The HP niches have a presence on Pinterest.
I don't.
I tried to get a grip on the Pinterest thing early in my HP journey but it never translated into enough traffic to be worth the trouble, so I gave up tryin' .
That's my experience generally.
I think the scope is narrow, partly because there are only certain topics that work.
It's like Medium, where in theory you can write about anything but in reality, you won't get many views for most topics.
Pinterest material is best if it relates to the home, or things like crafts, fashion. The site is also generally female-orientated.
If you look at their suggestions for topics to pin, it's often things like interior design and beauty advice.
I'm currently trying to just plug the few areas I have that (kind of) fit their agenda and seeing how it goes.
The other frustrating thing about Pinterest is that it used to be more "passive." You could just pin your stuff and walk away. But then they changed that so their algorithm rewards "fresh content," effectively meaning that you have to keep pinning regularly.
Pinterest...
Take a snap shot if possible..
Then go back and edit your post.
When editing you can add a website address.
I'm currently just pinning the top pic to be honest, I'll try out your way today, thank you.

Do you have an external blog that you link to your hubs? Do you write articles for an online magazine? And is it recommended to specialise in one or two areas - and connect a blog to these hub topics?I receive bursts of traffic when I promote my hubs on social media but I am looking into other ways...

I've experienced a significant surge in traffic from Google in the past few days. Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing? Hope it's not a nine-day wonder.

Flipboard is a bit like Pinterest, as far as I can tell. I get traffic from it occasionally and am wondering about trying it.

Besides Facebook and Linkedin, where do you post links to your articles?I post mine on Alignable, SheWrites and Levo. That this might be a good resource for everyone to find new places to post your links.

Does anyone get traffic from Pinterest anymore? Most of my traffic is from repins. I get virtually no traffic from pins I made in the last year and none of them have been repinned.
