OMG! A ChatGPTism in an Editor Edited Article?

    Well as far as I know, it predated ChatGPT, but were editors using software tools to dicky up our text? Often I've found content with these fillers that sound awkward and had to rewrite paragraphs to make them sound more natural.

      Bloomin eck, it makes you think.

      Editing can seem to be a hit and miss affair at times that's for sure, sometimes good, sometimes OTT, often chaotic and inconsistent.

      Matt Wells should be informed.

    Wow, Eugene. That makes so much sense. It's been the case for years. No wonder some of the edits flow strangely. Hope we get a confirmation of 'yes' or 'no' about this. Just wow.
