Wow!! I just came to check my feed. At the top written just seconds ago was you saying "Hi!" I'm going to be a bit of a teacher quickly now. In Sweden, they say "Hi" with the word "Hej". It is pronounced "Hey". Well, there you go, something new. smile

Will we be seeing your creative poems with their messages of this and that? In my mind, they always gave me more than a few moments of pondering. Brenda has her one-word prompts. The most recent is "luck". I wrote a poem for it and an article too.

So, how has the world been treating you? I hope well with not too many hiccups in the giddy-up of things. As they say, I will catch you as the wind blows.

I feel incredibly blessed when friends here tell me they miss me or share their appreciation for my work. Thank you so much, Tim! I'm actively working on Medium and even run my own publication there. smile
If you're also on Medium, I'd love for you to join us. I am an editor now, which has significantly added to my responsibilities beyond just writing, lol! tongue
Additionally, I've joined my family's business, and I must say, navigating the real world is proving to be much tougher than living in my world of fantasy. wink

Here's the link to my publication: The Hub Publication

John Hansen, Andrea Lawrence, and one of my closest friends from Medium are co-editors. We have almost 300+ writers in our publication, and we are doing great by the Grace of God! I can't promise, but I will try to write something here. I actually stopped writing here after having a heated discussion on forums with some fellow writers, and  Matt said he would ban my account permanently; I felt discouraged to see that I was neglected and was blamed wrongly. You can find the story here: Their Rudeness Gave Me the Confidence to Progress  smile

Hej, Misbah!! Thanks very much for the enlightening info. I had forgotten about the adventure on Medium. I am not a member there . . . yet! Maybe I will join soon. Is there potential to earn there with poems and articles. I don't know how it works. I will poke my head there soon. I book marked this conversation to remind me.

I am glad to hear you have an active life with two adventures. Hooray!! I warn you I have knack for writing long articles in the 2500 - 3500 word count area. Of course poems aren't that long. I am trying to learn to edit them down, yet I find it difficult to get what I desire across. I will learn, I guess. An example is this post ha-ha wink

Thanks for the reply and giving me inspiration to look into Medium!!

Tim, Medium is way better than HubPages, in my experience, but it truly excels when you focus on writing real-life stories. Evergreen articles also perform well, though I've noticed that readers tend to prefer stories over lengthy, informative articles. Poetry has its place on Medium as well, and personally, it has been a rewarding platform for me in terms of earnings. The key to success on Medium lies in engagement; building a strong community and actively participating can make a significant difference. The earnings, however, are based on internal traffic. smile

Since September 24, there has been a noticeable decline in earnings, mainly due to the prevalence of AI-generated content and an increase in spammy AI-driven text and comments. Despite these challenges, we are hopeful and are looking forward to improvements in the future. Once everything gets back in place, Medium has the potential to be a brilliant platform for those proficient in engagement and community building smile

Wow!! I just peeked at the landing page for The Hub Publication! I'm impressed and have a hopeful feeling about it. I know my Swedish Friend would find it a delight. I do!!

When I first came to HP all my articles were from a personal perspective on different matters and topics. I deleted nearly 200 articles when HP became less community-minded and my views had dwindled toward zero.

If I remember right at Medium internal views are how you are paid, right? I imagine for a strategy keeping a fresh pace with new articles is smart? I best get over there and learn. ha-ha wink

Thanks!! I will check those links out after a nap today.

Importantly, I am back now after reading your article. Inspiring!!! I get the idea at Medium you can be personal within articles, unlike HP. Do I have that right?

I have a friend who about eight years or there about was banned from HP for life. She today is a Dear Friend living in Sweden. She was banned because a poem was a tad bit erotic.

Someone reported it. When she communicated with HP she unfortunately got upset and like you shared the representative threatened her with a permanent ban. Well, she was!!

I will share with her about Medium and your group. We'll see if she is interested. She is heavy into illustrating these days. She is a better poet than I.

Wow! Banned for an erotic poem? That's truly surprising and sounds quite extreme to me. I genuinely hope HP begins to show a little more respect and understanding toward its members. Such a pity!
Btw, thanks for reading, Tim! I am glad you enjoyed it! smile

Yeah, her sentiments about HP are not joyful ones since the ban. She was elated with it before then. Remember it was much more community-minded then with comments on articles. Fortunately, she and I both are in connection with those friends we made on Facebook. Most of those abandoned HP when the changes came. Oh well!!

BTW . . . I subscribed to your newsletter and look forward to it in my email box. I joined Medium with a free subscription for now. Do you know if that is only your newsletter as I did not have to create a password? I will have to look at my budget before I formally join.

A non sequitur is a conversational literary device, often used for comedic purposes. It is something said that, because of its apparent lack of meaning relative to what preceded it, seems absurd to the point of being humorous or confusing. Wikipedia
