0I'm trying to save my articles before pulling them from the site. I'm just copying and pasting into documents on my flash drive, etc. They are travel articles, with lots of photos. But the photos aren't saving intact. They are about 1/4 of the original pic. What should I do, how can I make the saved versions contain the entire original photos?
I don't know what the sizes of your original pictures are, but chances are, you will not be able to retrieve them.
When you upload an image to a content management platform like Hubpages, especially large images, the image undergoes compression and resizing to fit the layout of the webpage. The original image is also inevitably deleted to save space. This is to prevent the server from being flooded with huge images.
0Oh, wow! Thanks so much for this info! I still have all the original photos on my computer; it will just be a pain to find them among my jilliions of photos. But thanks for letting me know not to keep butting my head against a wall trying to solve this problem!!

I've noticed yesterday and again today that pictures are not showing up on hubs. I'm in the middle of writing a hub myself and the picture just keeps saying loading.

Is it against copyright laws to take a photo of the cover or pictures inside my books to use in my hubs? or photos of portraits/paintings from unknown artists I have on my wall?

Recently hubpages evidently changed how to size pics in articles. Just when I thought I had it working they changed. Now I can't seem to size the pics right to fit the article spacing.Yesterday I tried to change a pic in my highest rated hub and ended up this morning with it plummeting to my second...

It was my understanding when I joined hubpages that if we posted photos, they had to be our own. So I've been slogging along, using only photos I've taken myself, while people who have joined long after me zoom past in rankings by posting tons of celebrity photos. So what I want to know is just...

My recent article “Dreams: What Do They Mean?” has been moved to Exemplore. I am pleased with that as I have only had a couple of articles moved there before. But, what I am less pleased with is that every one of the images I used (from Pixabay) were replaced with less attractive ones. The video I...
