The time has come to change the design of the HubPages Weekly Newsletter.  smile  We hope that you will like the new look.

In making these changes, the newsletter has gotten delayed.  It should go out Friday evening.

And you utterly upset people's rhythm of life. Please, be more considerate next time. wink

Larry's being modest. James and he have put together a really great set of changes to the newsletter. It'll be worth the wait. smile

(And darkside, we're loads more productive without Frank chewing on our shoelaces anymore wink)

Your ISP might be metering them to make sure they're not spam (they're being sent from our own servers now instead of Jangomail, so ISPs might be being a bit cautious). I haven't received my copy yet myself. smile (I'm on Gmail)

Yes, Larry, but there was no SPAM at all in there. Come to that a few notifications of comments haven't arrived either, although they are on my hubs okay.

I haven't gotten my newsletter, either. So, if you haven't received yours yet, you're not alone. smile

Paul says that the overall received/open rates are comparable to what they were on the old (Jangomail) platform, so the new platform might have both lost and gained recipients.

We're looking into it to see what happened. In the meantime, anyone who hasn't received the newsletter should double-check their junk mail (spam) folder and make sure to safelist HubPages, too.

I'm getting the digest notice of newly-published Hub which comes from the same email address as the newsletter, so I'm finding it a bit strange that the newsletter went awry.

Hhmmmm, interesting I got the newsletter however, I have not been receiving my daily e-mail notices of newly-published hubs by the people I'm a fan of... Is anyone else having this problem?

I've been away from my computer since Sunday aft and just kept checking in on hubpages through web-mail, comments etc. were available but the newsletter is still MIA no-where to be found. Just checked out the yummy spamfolder not there either.

I received the newsletter on Sunday and enjoyed the new format and the interview. Its not fun that not everyone is getting the newsletter, wonder if after identifying the cause, you could resend? Just a thought. smile

This weeks newsletter is on it's way.

We are able to track the open rate of the email, and last week the rate was very similar to past newsletters (which is good!) -- however the set of people that actually had it hit there inbox may have been different because we sent it from our own servers rather than through an email list provider.

We've still got a few things to learn about maximizing email delivery success.  When you send as many emails a day as we do there are a lot of hoops that you have to jump through to avoid being identified as a spammer.  I expect we'll get better at it over the next few months.

Along with the new format, we now automatically archive the entire newsletter.  So if you ever miss one, you can always find it there.  (the interview portion alone is also archived separately here).

Misty & relache, did you receive this week's newsletter? I received mine last night (I did not receive it the prior week).

As Paul mentioned, we'll be working to improve deliverability. I do remember that when we switched from Topica to Jangomail as our deliverer a couple of years ago, we had the same problem: some people who were getting the newsletter stopped, and some who hadn't been getting it started to.

We'll be working on it. In the meantime, you can access delivered newsletters (minus your personalized stats) at:

Welcome Blackorchid, yes under ordinary circumstances you will get a newsletter every week delivered to you doorstep by email. As you noticed there are some MIA copies right at the moment but only until the team gets all the dots connected once again.
